AV Source (if playing) during issue: USB

These are my MAJOR issues:

1. Only way to turn off annoying beep tone is to lower master volume completely, which also turns off navigation voice.

2. Unresponsive or slow response to touch commands.

3. Complete screen freeze requiring re-boot.

4. Bluetooth: Poor clarity and more often completely unintelligable to other end of call. Described as "windtunnel and garbled voice"

5. Navigation screen full of useless shaded boxes when no destination/POI selected.

6. Sirius interface not very informative or user friendly

7. Voice commands and TTS voices are overshadowed by static and feedback.

Took a road trip from Seattle to San Francisco. GPS worked great, however, I kept running into a problem with the clock. The GPS clock would keep changing time zones...everywhere from Central time to England time. Even when auto-adjustment was on...or off. If it's just me, I wonder if the video bypass had anything to do with it.

Here are a list of software bugs I would like to see fixed in order of importance. I know that Pioneer is reading this, and despite the bugs I like the system, and want to do what I can to help (too bad I can't get an SDK and the code for it hehe).

AVIC F900BT in a 2008 Nissan Rogue

bypass hack enabled

speed control connected

Kenwood CCD-2000 reverse camera

Pioneer Pioneer CD-IU230V iPod video cable

30Gb Gen 5 iPod video attached

Pioneer Pioneer GEX-P920XM XM module

Sprint Blackberry Curve 8330 connected via BlueTooth

GPS antenna connected and active

16Gb Patriot SDHC Card

1-Typically 15 seconds before system is usable after turning vehicle ON

SD Card inserted

iPod disconnected

Bluetooth disabled on phone

GPS map on or off

2-GUI has extremely slow response time, often over 3 seconds required

to register a press

consistent regardless of configuration

GPS map on or off

3-Typically 30+ seconds for the system starting screen to disappear after turning vehicle ON

SD Card inserted

iPod disconnected

Bluetooth disabled on phone

GPS map on or off

4-Typically 10+ seconds for the reverse camera to turn on after turning vehicle ON

consistent regardless of configuration

5-Typically 2+ minutes for iPod listing to read - during which time an warning is displayed making interface partially unreadable

SD Card inserted

iPod connected

Bluetooth disabled on phone

GPS map on or off

7-Bluetooth negotiation typically requires 1+ minute to activate

SD Card inserted

iPod disconnected

Bluetooth enabled on phone

GPS map on or off

8-Bluetooth speakerphone call quality is very poor for remote party regardless of mic position.

SD Card inserted

iPod disconnected

Bluetooth enabled on phone

GPS map on or off

9-SD Card playback skips, and often ends song early

SD Card inserted

10-SD Card track selection is very slow during GPS map viewing (5+ sec to change tracks).

SD Card inserted

iPod disconnected

11-iPod control disconnects for no apparent reason during iPod playback

SD Card inserted

12-Voice says "comma" instead of "point"

SD Card inserted

iPod disconnected

Bluetooth disabled on phone

GPS map on

route entered

13- CD/DVD will not eject for 30+ seconds after system is powered on

SD Card inserted

iPod disconnected

Bluetooth disabled on phone

14- SD Playback on random very often picks the first song. There is about a 33% chance of getting the first song on the SD card.

SD Card inserted

iPod disconnected

Bluetooth disabled on phone

15- SD Playback on Random does not stack the songs as iPod random playback does. I.e. when trying to replay the last song when on Random, a new random song plays, and the last song is lost. Use a stack to pop and push - just like on the iPod.

I just purchased the 900BT. Here are my issues

1. Takes a very long time to boot up.

2. When pushing buttons it takes a long time for the system to repsond.

3. The system does not check if the Ipod has been updated. So it does a VR everytime you start up. It would be nice if it could check the ipod and see if changes were made then update the VR if neccessary

4. Phone does not show who's calling only number even though the names are downloaded.

5. Using the navigation system is very confusing

And the same problems everyoe else is having

Glad this firmware update fixed all everyones audio problems however, Navigation is still an issue. My unit does not recognize HWY 249 in Tomball Texas however, it recognizes all other surrounding HWY'S. This is very frustrating as I travel 249 a lot and the unit wants me to take the side road next to the HWY we call them feeder roads. IfI get onto 249 the unit says stay right take next right - to get off the HWY. Again this is the only HWY I have found thus far where this is an issue. Pioneer sells the unit and I am not about to wait another year for a map or software upgrade. I am expecting a fix in the next couple weeks or I am going to take this back to the dealer in favor of another unit. Garmin units do not have this problem nor any other unit I have seen and tested. Yes I have notified tech support at Pioneer but no help yet. 249 is a main HWY around here for many years so this is not a new HWY. I hope others are checking out the HWY functionallity of the Navigation portion to see if there are other problems.
