clauntma
The album art for music is blurry and really pixelated does anybody know what the issue could be. The album art is itunes album art so the quality is really high.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
you can try getting a bigger picture of the album art and replacing the smaller one on your iPod with it. i have the same problem, but i dont make it bigger on the screen.
clauntma
the album art is 600x600 that is really large
CatchMeIfYouCan631
so? it doesnt make the image any bigger on the iPod or avic, just shrinks it down to the right size, and hopefully that the bigger image will do away with the stretched ot pixelated image youre talking about. at least try it. HiFiSi
What he is saying that the current album art he;s using is 600x600. It just looks bad when it gets compressed to fit on the F's screen.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
OOOO ok i misunderstood. i have the same problem but my picture is 300x300 and looks streched out. honest mistake. Â I have my iPod hooked up here at work so i will put different sized artworks on some songs, and when i go on break, i'll see what looks best in the avic's picture

The album art is itunes album art so the quality is really high.   Grab your art from a site such as http://www.samgoody.com  The quality is still great, on par with if not better than iTunes, and you can use WMP or iTunes to apply it to your songs.  This can be a very tedious task if you have 400 different artist, 1000 different albums, etc.  However, you will be satisfied with the output on your F-series, iPod and anywhere else you will view the album art. It looks fine from my 5th generation iPod and 2nd Generation Nano though, so it's something in how the art is handled.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
agreed with skicrave. i just tried 4 different sizes. 120x120, 300x300, 400x400, 600x600..ALL were the same crappy choppy quality.
clauntma
well atleast I'm not the only one i love how in the picture on pioneers website the album art is clear and crisp that's deceiving
CatchMeIfYouCan631
Ya, gotta watch out for that lol  HiFiSi, the format of the picture wouldnt matter right?
HiFiSi
No, it shouldn't matter... It seems to be a problem with only the iphone, correct? You say the album art on the F-series looks fine using a 5th gen ipod and an ipod nano. The album art on my F90 using a 5.5 gen ipod looks great as well. Seems to be a problem with how the iphone is sending the album art to the radio? There is nothing you can really do on the radio end of the problem, though. Are there any setting on the iphone that deal with album art and how it is compressed or rendered?
CatchMeIfYouCan631
personally im using an 80GB iPod Video and im getting it too
skicrave
I've read about this being a problem with other devices and the latest iPod products as well, so I think it's something on Apple's end.
HiFiSi
Strange. My album art looks great, in both the small and large view. And it's all (or mostly) the default itunes album art.
