HackZ
Yes I got it to work Just now. There only one thing I an working on witch is it will not play all the sound commands. Seems like the pioneer navi has a lot of the files named differently. Example "Uturn.ogg" to Kitt "You_Turn.ogg" Also it seems that The Avic navi uses A lot more individual sound files sound instead of putting files all together Example: avic has a Now.ogg a Turn.ogg and a Left.ogg Kitt has a Now_turn_left.ogg I am almost sure I can get this fixed by tonight, I can almost bet the fix is in the commands.csv, this is how the navi knows whats audio clip to call. Any one else got this to work yet

lemonhead
Great work HackZ, I'd love to see a finished file and test it out. I'm not following what format/folder type it needs to be in for the AVIC to recognize it from the import tts from SD screen? Seems like it can't be easy as you are making it out to be from what I have tried?
HackZ
Video: Well I kinda have it working I just need to get the files renamed Example: Avic - uturn.ogg Yoda - U_Turn.ogg I also think that I will have to mess with the Commands.csv file to make it work right. Notice how Yoda and The avic guy talk togeather, still a work in progress but i am getting there. Its not that hard so far, I just copied over the Yoda/Kitt voice over to the Avic guy voice file and thats all I just have to finish up. I will upload more info and hopfull a step by step Any one else have any luck.
1fastrsx
How can we help? This is so cool... I WANT and I owe you a beer...!!
HackZ
LOL a beer would be great right now. Well I am kind of stuck, I have up loaded the OEM Avic voice file, this is where I figured out that if I replace the Avic .ogg files with the Kitt.ogg files or the Yoda.ogg files the navi speaks them out load just fine Only prob is that some of the files are differant and some are are totally differant Best way to put it is that Avic has a Turn.ogg So when the Navi looks to say Turn left it calls for a Turn.ogg and a left.ogg Yoda and Kitt have TurnLeft.ogg so the navi cant call it. This is where the Commands.csv comes in. I believe this is where we fix it. I have also uploaded what I have so far just upload it to FlashDisk\APL2\iGo\Content\Voices\ and replace the Voice_Eng-us-m1.zip with mine to test out what I got I really what to get this to work If you want so My AIM messanger name is camaroluisz28 If I am on feel free to talk to me Files: My files http://rapidshare.com/files/143796977/V ... 1.zip.html Yoda.ogg http://rapidshare.com/files/143797223/Yoda_TTS.zip.html Avic Files with OEM .ogg's and Command.csv http://rapidshare.com/files/143797507/V ... 1.zip.html
derrike
why not just split the audio files to match the systems? i think this would make things a littler easier when other people are installing these custom voices. unless of course splitting the files would cause the voices to not sound seamless, *shrug*
BorisM
You could try this application for editing voice commands: http://forum.pocketnavigation.de/tid1117263-sid.htm (In German but I think the program is in English)...
Karatekidd
Would this work for the Z-2?! Just curious...This is cool....
