Blustang05
I think you have to type that all in to the c:\ prompted. Man that takes me way back I remember when everything had to be installed in ms dos. I was pretty good at some of that. But again that has been long ago and i am a little rusty
Lunar-Eclipse
Ok, so I think I figured out what paradroid meant in his post. Step by step: 1. Download and install these: Mobile Emulator ----->http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.aspx?na=46&p=2&SrcDisplayLang=en&SrcCategoryId=&SrcFamilyId=c62d54a5-183a-4a1e-a7e2-cc500ed1f19a&u=http%3a%2f%2fdownload.microsoft.com%2fdownload%2fc%2fb%2fb%2fcbb8bc58-07b9-46bb-86ba-d12bb0d9b1d9%2fV1Emulator.zip&oRef=http%3a%2f%2fwww.christec.co.nz%2fblog%2farchives%2fcategory%2fdebugging Windows Mobile 5 Image ----->http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.aspx?na=46&p=1&SrcDisplayLang=en&SrcCategoryId=&SrcFamilyId=c62d54a5-183a-4a1e-a7e2-cc500ed1f19a&u=http%3a%2f%2fdownload.microsoft.com%2fdownload%2fc%2fb%2fb%2fcbb8bc58-07b9-46bb-86ba-d12bb0d9b1d9%2fefp.msi&oRef=http%3a%2f%2fwww.christec.co.nz%2fblog%2farchives%2fcategory%2fdebugging Windows Mobile 6.1 Image ----->http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.aspx?na=46&p=1&SrcDisplayLang=en&SrcCategoryId=&SrcFamilyId=3d6f581e-c093-4b15-ab0c-a2ce5bffdb47&u=http%3a%2f%2fdownload.microsoft.com%2fdownload%2fd%2fc%2f7%2fdc73c8e7-f9c3-49de-821f-5588eeefcac4%2fWindows+Mobile+6.1+Professional+Images+(USA).msi&oRef=http%3a%2f%2fwww.microsoft.com%2fdownloads%2fresults.aspx%3fpocId%3d%26freetext%3dwm6+emulator%26DisplayLang%3den 2. Lunar-Eclipse
Let me know if you don't understand any part and I'll try to walk you through it. what if I said everything? Im sorry I got lost after step 1.... Uhh... If you cant download a file, you're in the wrong forum. But seriously, has anyone had a chance to fire up this VM on their machine? While I can get the main menu and phone menu to work, I can never get past the Navi warning message.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
I can download all the files dude. It's the instructions after the files that I cant comprehend. You think I'd be hacking my unit if I couldn't download a file?
Lunar-Eclipse
CatchMe what specific part didn't you understand?
CatchMeIfYouCan631
I have no idea what step 2 means. I checked in my program files and didn't see anything with windows mobile 6, so when I went to download it, It said I needed all these prerequisites but I downloaded everything that i was told to. I just dont understand computer language in general. Like in the scripts and such I have no idea what any of that says, so I'm sorry for being a pita, but I just dont understand what's going on. Once I do it the first time I can do it every other time however. Like the onl way I'd understand is with the most detailed and basic instruction for computer noobs. You don't have to write them out however, I' simply interested in changing the theme which I have done before, I just figured this was an easier way to go about doing it. HackZ
Hacking 101: A .bat file is a type of old school .exe. All they do is run or change things in windows one you program them. the Code we see in the forum is going to call a file and I guess change it. This is also Old school hacking because you can put them on peoples desk tops and change the icon and then it will shut the pc off embed itself in the start up and the Shit out of luck. Now all you got to to is make a new .txt file name it what ever ok. then put the lil bit of code in there click file save as change the .txt drop down to all files and save it as w/e he said. Or i will upload mine Step two done: http://rapidshare.com/files/148622046/L ... 0.bat.html
Lunar-Eclipse
For your viewing pleasure... here is a click by click video I made of steps 1-4. http://rapidshare.com/files/148627688/W ... M.swf.html I don't have the "My Flash Disk" folder on my work computer, so you will have to work from the written instructions for the rest.
Blustang05
SWEET!!!!!!!! thanks Lunar and HackZ you guys are the greatest!!!! i got to go play now
Blustang05
so guick question when i bring up Navi a white screen comes up with NaviMain in the middle of it. any thoughts? or is this normal. i thought this would bring up the destination menu. It most likely is issue with the nave warning msg. we need to figure out how to make Igo work that way we can make changes to the map and check thing rather then running out the car and watch the thing crash. I HATE THAT
Blustang05
I was toying with this and 7zip to see if i could get around the nag screen and... if you look at My flash\Apl\MainRes\NSWinsOpening there is a file called "UIN_WIN_PLCaution.win" I deleted this file and in to the emulator brought up the main screen clicked destination and it crashed on me. I was hoping some one with a little more knowledge then I would give this a look see and figure out if it was just another crash or dose it have to do with the fact the unit cant find the nag screen so it dies will aslo post this in the mag screen msg
saeb
I think the issue lies in the fact that running "Mainmenu" creates a directory called my flash disk on the root of the emulator. Usually our software is located here. Maybe if we could rename the storage card to "My Flash Disk". I have been unsucsessful in this so far. If the emulator could have a huge amount of memory then we could just copy everything to this new directory. Keep on playing.
