marmski
wow, this thread got busy. Try to keep it on topic if we can guys please. How about this for an idea of the Mazda theme? I have modified my Vista Theme to show what i mean... I know what all the BMP files do, so i can pretty much modify every cosmetic part of the system.. tell me how u want it to look and i will create it. Obviously functionality remains as standard. CatchMeIfYouCan631
It's not bad, but I just got PS so I'm going to experiment with it. But...what is the file name for the Top Menu Background? I can't find it.
marmski
Swt! definately experiment. Once u get the hang of PS its a nice program, pretty annoying up until that point though! The background is the same for all the menus, and its 746_32K_MN-000_24b.bmp The buttons use multiple files to drive their images, however if you run the image.res below it will show you which file is which. Edit: I cant upload because i have 5MB limit which i have apparently hit (obviously with my other files)
CatchMeIfYouCan631
I know about image.res and I have a good idea of what everything is, especially when you view in thumbnails, but I just couldnt find that background
marmski
This one is actually numbered though, so basically you run it on the device... look for the image you want to edit and it will have a number on it... take that number and find the file in your image.res and then you can modify what it looks like
kdoll36
A friend of mine saw the theme I had on my 900 and asked if I could make one for his wifes 700, and he wanted it to look "childish"...so this is what I came up with and I thought I'd share it. marmski
Just replied to the PM's. I meant that i have a Image.Res that you can upload into your emulator and it will show which file does what by the numbers contained on them. If i can get my 5MB limit increased i'll post it so you can see.

CatchMeIfYouCan631
Hopefully someone can help me out here. I got all the icons done, but they dont show up on the unit..what's the correct format to save them? the Icon size is 126x132, the resolution is 72 and the mode is bitmap. when I finished, I clicked save as, changed it from a psd to a bmp, overwrote the existing image file, and then made sure it was windows format and 32 bit. Where'd I go wrong? Thanks!
