LeetLauncher v3.0!!!

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to have the leetlauncher on the SD card and have the AVIC's launcher load but access Garmin Mobile XT when you press the Map button or whenever the system tries to run igo eg. after a phone call?

I have the LL and IGO on an 8 gig card along with music, You can put the Garmin on the SD card and yes when you press the map button it will launch the garmin software, works the same way with my igo software as well. Bluetooth for phone works the same way as it does on the stock unit, but you can't access the phone book

LeetLauncher 3.0 works excellent with TomTom an Igo8. But I have one problem I can`t find answers for in this forum. Are there possible to load Pioneer software when the unit is in "LeetMode" with the SD card inserted? I ask because I want to listen to FM radio when I have loaded GPS on the screen. I got the Cd player to run, but I can`t change track when the unit are in "Leetmode". I hope I maked this understandable

I got the leetlauncher working on my F500BT, very cool.

I have searched a couple different ways, but can't figure out if it is possible to get the original Pioneer AV Program to run from leetlauncher.

What I really want to do is use the iGO for my GPS, but use the Pioneer AV program for music and controlling my ipod. I don't really care about the voice recognition.

What I really like about this setup is it allows you to answer a phone call on the bluetooth, and still control the GPS, or the music.

Is there another way to maintain control of the unit while on a phone call on bluetooth, or a way to use the included AV program from Leet?

ok at the risk of sound stupid. I live in TX and I LOVE the way the leetlauncher looks. I have hacked my unit before but now with the 3.0 software I am happy with the maps on the F90. Advice? is it worth changing the os to leetlauncher and how can I use it without having to change to garmin or tom tom. I really just like the look of the launcher. Can I get detailed instructions on how and what I need to download. Before someone yells at me about reading this thread, I did. I but 50 pages of comments later I want to make sure I am doing the right thing.

Any ideas would be appreciated!!!!!

Hey I have some questions.

1) Alot of you guys say you can get the music screen to boot up right away on startup? How did you do this because Iv clicked "boot music thing at start up" and put an X there and it doesnt boot.

2) Nobody had FM correct? or did I miss it somewhere

3) is there a GPS prog out there that has Text To Speech for streets?

Thanks everyone

I cannot wait for 4.0 to come!

I haven't done the new firmware yet, but I think it is actually fairly easy to get it to work.

Go back to the first page of this thread, and read the instructions for the LeetLoader install again.

One thing I messed up was the directions say to extract the .zip into the root of your SD card. That doesn't exactly work, you need to extract the .zip, then copy all the folders from the 3.0 folder into the root of the SD card. You can extract to the SD card and then move the folders from the 3.0 folder into the root of the SD, but that is slower.

After you do that read this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=34&t=18522&p=174774&hilit=firmware+3.0#p174774

You need to change your TESTMODE files because you have 3.0

Getting it to boot is pretty easy if you do the above correctly. Turn the unit on w/o the SD card in. Put the SD card in, it needs to have at least one MP3 file. The pioneer willl then start playing the MP3 file when you insert the card. Once this happens, hold down your power button on the F500BT until the unit powers off. Leave the card in the slot, and hold down the power button until it comes back on. It will now boot to Leet, it will continue to boot to Leet each time you turn it on and off until you either crash it by messing around, or you remove the SD card and power up, or remove it while powered up (it doesn't like that)

Report back on how you like it, I am thinking about doing the 3.0 firmware upgrade, but haven't figured out the down side yet.

What I really want is GPS and music control while I am using the phone over bluetooth. Leet lets you do that, but it doesn't let you control the ipod, and I'm not totally sold on the coreplayer either.

1. My music doesn't boot all the time either.

2. I have a 500bt, no FM anyway, but I think you are right no FM control.

3. IGo should do that, I am trying to figure that part out right now. It dings and makes other noises, but no TTS

thanks for the reply, I have a f90bt not a 500 if that makes a difference and my main concern is will the leet remove my current gps and maps that were apart of the 3.0 update or will they stay in place with icons for tom tom and garmin? I use my navigation and my ipod for music/video's. I don't listen to the radio and I don't have sat radio.

I just really like the screen shots of leet at the begining of this thread and would like the set up like that on my f90bt.

I guess the question is, once I install all of the software, the stock maps will work and my ipod will work with cover flow?

ok so I thought I did everything right. I placed the sub folders on the root of my sd but all I get is the leetlauncher v3.0 screen with "system is starting up. Please wait" I waited 10 min to no avail. What am I doing wrong here? Also is the ipod working with leetlauncher now or is all the music/movies supposed to be on the sd card?

Help

No, Your ipod will not work with the Leetloader, he hasn't implemented that yet.

The good news is you aren't modifying the Pioneer files at all, this just runs off the SD card.

You can play with it, and decide if you can live without the ipod interface for now.

LeetLauncher v3.0 - LeetCoder

DISCLAIMER:::

PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK! I WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU BREAK YOUR PIONEER DECK. READ ALL THE DOCUMENTATION CAREFULLY BEFORE TRYING TO ATTEMPT ANY MODIFICATION.

I DO NOT condone any illegal activity, nor am I responsible for your actions.

I will NOT be providing any support on downloading maps or cracking any software.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

[04/05/2009]

Whats new?

--------------

I completely revised the launcher. It should be able to run bluetooth, however the original AVIC audio/video will not work with the leetlauncher at the moment. I will try to get it to run alongside with the leetlauncher as soon as I figure out why its causing problem with the launcher.

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

What it do?

-----------

This launcher will boot up before the main AVIC kiosk is launch. This is the new Front end in progress, however it is no where near done. It is in its very early stage so don't expect too much out of it.

Instructions PLEASE READ BEFORE USE:

------------------------------------------------

1.) Extract the LeetLauncher3_0.zip onto a SD Card (I Recommend Formating card first before extracting files into it).

2.) The new zip contains IGO8,TOMTOM,and GARMIN XT modified version to work with pioneer. However, I WILL NOT INCLUDE MAPS.

3.) For the new IGO8 8.3.2 software, you will need the new 8.3.2 maps, poi, and dem in order for it to work. ( maps is not provided)

4.) TomTom 7.91: You need to get the new v7 or v8 Maps and put it onto the root of the SD Card (again I will not provide the map)*

5.) Garmin XT also require map and activation. Again I will not provide this.

I have not yet begun to write the documentation for this launcher yet, I will post it on the site when it is available.

IMPORTANT:

IN ORDER FOR YOU TO GET FULL SOUND for the navi software and coreplayer you will need to do these simple steps.

1.) Boot up the unit without the SD card, and then wait till it fully loaded into the Pioneer Audio

2.) Now plug in your SD card (make sure you have at least one mp3 files on it).

3.) the AVIC unit should automatically switch over to the SD or USB drive audio source.

4.) Now reboot the unit (turning your car off and then on) with the SD card in the unit and it should go to the Launcher.

I know this is an inconvenient, but you will only have to do it the first time or whenever your unit switch to different source. Until I figured out how to control the pioneer library, It has to be switch to SD or USB source manually in order for you to get the full audio sound output through windows CE mode.

KEY BINDING:

Up: open Phone menu, this will only work if it is set to launch at startup.

Down: open coreplayer

Menu: bring you back to LeetLauncher

Map: switch back to navigation software

\LeetLauncher\config\settings.xml : the setting file that control how the launcher startup

\LeetLauncher\APPS\programs.xml : configuration file for the applications launcher

\LeetLauncher\Media\Music\db\library.xml : configuration file for the CoverFlow Music library

\LeetLauncher\Media\Video\db\library.xml : configuration file for the CoverFlow Video library

\LeetLauncher\skin\skin.xml : configuration file for the skin gui

Bugs:

------------------------

Please report to me any bugs that you find. There are probably alot of them.
