I spent about $50 on my camera, and I'm waiting to receive it, but from everything I've read about select rear view cameras, it has everything you need. One thing to look for, if this matters to you, is the low light ability of the camera. The BC1 has a very good low-light ability. I think it is rated 1.5 lux. If it is a "CMOS" camera, stay away from it, because you will not be satisfied with the quality of the picture. Heck, at that price you can afford to REPLACE it every couple of years. Most of us don't rush out and buy a $400 CCD camera so we can see the kid's toys when we're backing out the driveway. I bought one from ebay for about $60, much like the one sportsfan21 linked to. It was a solid, if not too fancy barrel cam with some IR lights, and it's managed to serve me well in my truck for over a year now. I happen to think I got my money's worth. If it fails I'm happy to see the price has come down so I can get another one. So, if you have something to suggest instead of snide comments about what other people find to be a bargain, perhaps a "good" camera, for a reasonable price, I'm all ears. You will not be able to use the camera driving down the road if you so desire. If don't ever want to look behind you with it going forward, then it's a decent alternative. Are there any aftermarket ones that are as good, or better, for less? I have an ND-BC1 I got in a package with a bunch of other stuff and its picture quality is soooo much better than my generic license-plate mounted camera that I have in every way. I'm just curious because ND-BC1's have good resale. If there's cheaper generic one that's just as good for $35-60, I wouldn't mind selling the BC1 and putting the cash towards other stuff.
