AVIS301
Is there a replacement Microphone that anyone would recommend to be used with the Z1 that would work better?? What about removing the file that stops the flash Bypass from the Upgrade CD?? Has anyone seen the external Speaker just for use with the bluetooth adapter? do u think that would cut down the amount of echo??
polywave
Hi Everyone, I did these steps with my V3m and my late production Z1, without sucess: Performed a level 3 reset With the AVIC off, called another phone and lowered the handset volume to zero. With the bluetooth earpiece called another phone and lowered the volume to minimum. Powered up the AVIC, connected the V3m. Called the house phone and the echo was present. Downloaded the upgrade from Ducatiboy and using Nero created a data cd on a SONY cd -r. Upgrade installed flawlessly. If, after all this, I keep the caller volume on the AVIC lower than 2 bars there is insignificant echo. Doesn't matter if left only, right only or both speakers are enabled. And, the caller is loud enough to hear sitting parked. Don't know about driving around in a Crossfire would be too noisy for 2 bars. THEN: I put my thumb over the microphone (lowering it's sensitivity). Now I could talk at the same loudness level and the other person can still hear me, BUT, now I can increase the caller volume level to 4 bars and still have insignificant echo.
