hdtvjeff
I've only put 10 miles on my car since my Z120BT was installed. Now I'm beginning to use the NAV. It tells me to make a right turn after 300 feet but it does not say the street name. I cannot find it in the menus; but how do you enable it to SPEAK street names? Thanks, jeff
VBLUE42
Its in the REGIONAL settings.
rgarjr
Yep, there's 2 English voices, one of them being Samantha.
hdtvjeff
I get the voice, nice woman's voice too; but, I cannot see the setting under regional settings which allows Street Names to be spoken by the female voice, only turn right or left cues, but she doesnt say the street name. VBLUE42
TTS.
hdtvjeff
TTS did it, before that it was set to only US English. This unit is not disappointing me. Just wondering what else I can "ADD ON" to this to expand its capabilities. I already managed to go from my HTC TP2 via Micro USB to RCA input so in effect I can input my Phone's screen, internet and all onto it, too bad I have to control it via the phone and touchscreen won't take over but can't have everything...yet
hdtvjeff
Just curious, everything works well with the unit but unlike other nav's this one reads the name of a street name, then when it comes time to make the next "right turn" it just says make a right (instead of speaking the next turn's street) Is there a reason for some turns being spoken using tts and other turns not? Thnx
VBLUE42
Nope. Just the way it works.
hdtvjeff
Mind you I have only 60 miles on the car and went only on the hgwy once and around town...Does it speak more street names that it leaves out? Is there a reason or a logic as to its behavior?

hdtvjeff
Well I'll live with it I guess. My Rosen entertainment system in my 08 Camry spoke ALL the street names but this unit by far has many more features, so I'll just get use to it.
VBLUE42
It will get you where you want to go every time.
jayshahu
The system IMHO is a most complete package than anything out there especially at the price point of 700 dollars for the Z110BT when Pioneer was giving the 200 dollars MIR. The audio on the 110BT, beats the stock Unit on my car by a huge huge margin ( even with stock speakers). The NAV has some kinks with regards to the map update but nothing that I cannot live with.
