cpkdude
after searching here high and low (cause' I read it in the features list of a Kenwood 7140), I looked here for SMS capable Pioneer decks. didn't find anything. did I miss it somewhere, or is SMS not possible on X920's and Z120's? (sending, receiving or both)
ikon66
In a word no! However, I did do a survey for pioneer uk and one question asked if I would like this feature so they may be considering it, although I'm sure vblue said it also depends alot on the phone you have also
VBLUE42
I doesn't matter because it will depend on the phone to support it and almost no phones support that feature. It is my opinion this feature will soon disappear from the relatively few phones that do support it.

cpkdude
No. thanks. I imagine there is with certain Kenwoods?
VBLUE42
Like I said, Kenwoods support the feature but most phones don't.
cpkdude
Like I said, Kenwoods support the feature but most phones don't. am I getting the terms wrong? I though all cell phones were capable of sending text messages - but that's not SMS? Then do Pioneers and Kenwoods accept or send regular text messages while connected bia bluetooth? VBLUE42
SMS notification over BT is not supported on most phones.
dawgbone
You should drive while driving.... I would recommend using BT/VR for talking to people.... NOT texting...

cpkdude
lol - so true. On the other hand, responsible people can text while parked - isn't that the second amendment?
avic411fan
it should have a feature like the Microsoft Sync that "READS" the txt messages outloud to you
VBLUE42
It wouldn't matter if it did if most phones don't support it.
