1loudls
apparently your are missing some files, try an official update, getting somebody's system files, or go with somebody's mod files
codykeon18
How do I update my softeware to 3.0 and download what tial is talking about? I went to where tial sent me and it says that upgrade will only work on 3.0 firmwarre. My unit is running 2.0001 IIRC. I just bought a 16gb SD card. Id like to try and fix my unit today. Thanks a bunch in advance guys!!!
tail24
Did you use my download? If you did you use the 3.0 wince files in service mode then copy and paste 3.0 backup into avic in testmode.
codykeon18
Ummm sorry tial your talking jibberish to me. lol This is the reason I want to have someone that knows what they are doin fix my unit for me. I bought a 16gb SD card yesturday and downloaded firmware upgrade and transfered files to sd card. Then inserted sd card into my avic and turned the ignition on and it just booted up like normal. Then my unit started playing audio files form the sd card but they were nothing but short tones, almost sounded like dial up internet connecting if that makes sense. 1loudls
well there is an entire sub forum on hacks and mods, it probably wouldn't be a bad ideal to start there with a lot of reading and learning to figure out what need to be done.
soundtracks
Was there a solution to this? My F900bt is exhibiting the same issue. The screenshots from codykeon18 look exactly like mine. I am the original owner of my unit . . . I have done no hacks and mods.
pionara
What version are you running? For example, pioneer's latest update for the original version (not having any map updates) is 2.008. If you are earlier than this, simply running the update will likely fix this. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/GPS-Navigation/AVIC-F900BT?tab=firmware
