shhnappa
Hi Guys, I've searched, and haven't come up with a definitive answer, so here goes. I wanted to know if anyone knows of the date that the "Bluetooth Fix" has been updated by the factory prior to shipping. I just purchased a Z1 manufactured in Oct '06, and wanted to know if you think it’s already been updated, I would hate to go through the motions, just to find out it’s been done. Thanks in advance for your help.
ducatiboy
It probably is already on there. I have heard reports that units manufactured in october pop up a message that says the update has already been added to that unit. You should try, the worst thing is that you waste a cd. Or call pioneer and have them send you one. If you pop in the cd it will tell you right away that the update is there or not. Or it will update the z1 which takes a few minutes. (15 maybe?) ducatiboy
Thanks good to know, either the people who had an october unit were mistaken or they made the change some time in October and there are some of both in that month.
shhnappa
Thanks guys, I think I'll take your advice and get the update from Pioneer, and see what happens when I load it. Do you know if they charge for the update?
tillithz
pioneer doesnt charge, they just get your info and ship it to you. they may give you a hard time on the registration but just tell em it was a gift or something if you didnt register it.
apax
they didn't ask me for any registration....they just took my address and they UPS one to me the next day...
