jamesbcollins
I have a major problem which i am hoping someone on here can help me with, or point me in the right direction. I had a Pioneer AVIC-HD1BT in my old car which i was selling. I obviously wanted to keep all of the music that i had imported over a 4 year period so i took out the HDD and copied everything off of the drive on to my computer. Once i done this, i found that it wasn't as easy as just opening up the files and then play them. Does anyone know how i can convert these so i can then import them into my new car? I no longer have a Pioneer head unit as the new car has a built in system with internal HDD. By the looks of things they are not normal AT3 files as all of the AT3 converters out there on the net do not recognise them. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Sorry.. can't be done to my knowledge. It is a proprietary format. no solution has been found.
MadRabbit
What format ARE the ones you saved; AND what format do you want them converted to? I do a LOT of conversions. Once I know, I should (hopefully) be able to reply here with at least a link for you.
pionara
is it atrac3 (aka minidisc codec)? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adaptive_Transform_Acoustic_Coding There are probably a few solutions out there to convert them. Try searching on afterdawn forums.
don_her
Any new info on this? I've made a backup of my music as i'm getting an avic-f940bt tonight but i can't find any program that succesfully converts a file. Let alone thousands in folders :')
cdarev
Maybe this can help you. It's the official Sony Atrac to MP3 conversion tool. The bad is there are specific versions for the many Sony devices, but it's worth a try: http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/topics/mp3-conversion-tools Also there are some old topics here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/474-at3-files-what-are-they-what-have-you-tried/ http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/8263-at3-converter/ http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/9252-anybody-changing-at3-to-mp3-or-vice-versa/ and this one is part of other topic: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/456-ok-i-got-my-hd-to-read-now-what/page-8 Any of you who has backed up .at3 files could try. p.s. I don't possess Z series device. My Interest about the topic: I want to port/move CD ripping software from Z series to the F series.
