Pjrm68
Is anyone's Spotify actually working properly? Just wondering if anyone out there is able to actually use Spotify with CarPlay. And if so, can you thumbs up/thumbs down songs? Mine crashes pretty much anytime I try to play a song. Or, no matter what song I choose, it just plays whatever the last song was that I played from my iPhone's music app. Very frustrating.
kelkin
Nope, the app is totally useless at the moment. Hopefully an app update can fix it
ResortCasual
My experience with Spotify and Carplay is a tiny step above useless but far from ideal. Clearly there are some issues that need to be worked out with the next version. I am even having some issues with it on my iPhone in general.
epsilonkore
I cant do the thumbs up/down but I can see whos playing, and pause/play rewind/fast forward. Its not totally useless to me, but its definitely not where it should be.
Pjrm68
Seems like it's not working all that great for anyone. I'm really surprised they haven't rolled out an update by now.
Spankey
I'm hoping Monday's iOS update will help. At this point I'm not sure if it's Spotify or Carplay. Anyone use Rdio and know if it works?
epsilonkore
Rdio works much better, though to me, its an inferior service.
Pjrm68
Exactly. I've been trying out Rdio and I'm glad it works, but I prefer Spotify so much more.
kelkin
I should state im on 8.1 which appeared to break spotify even more, hopefully when it comes out Monday apology will have an update released at the same time which is compatible with it.
Kura
Spotify seems to work better after update to 1.07 Correct me if I'm wrong but I assume they removed "search" bar which caused a lot of crashes in 1.06 Now I see my music, my albums, I can select radios ecc. Before it was empty... Good to know they are working on bugs
fotomkr
Can't seem to find the 1.07 update on the US website. Is it out?
Pjrm68
It's not out in the U.S. yet. Somebody the other day posted in like 10 different threads that it was out, but that's only for the European models.
Kolenka
It has been working okay for me. But it was a fresh install, not even logged in. I do have one issue where if it takes too long to login, CarPlay will show no content. Have to exit and re-enter to force a refresh.
bferguson
New Spotify update out today. Will be curious to see if any improvements have been made on the Carplay side of things.
Spankey
The update hasn't improved anything yet. I'm beginning to wonder if the 1.07 update will help with Spotify or that in conjunction with iOS 8.1 which will be out later today. I have had some random luck in the past few days with Spotify but on the whole it's more miss than hit.
