Guest guest
For those that found errors of the map or POI, would you send the description of the issue to TeleAtlas? Pioneer does not have a specific support page for navigation issue but TeleAtlas does. Keep in mind TeleAtlas probalby would not help routing issue but they might correct map or POI errors. The only time a correction is made to the map or POI is when people report it. http://www.teleatlas.com/Pub/Home

They will update their database and in turn pass that update to pioneer. You can get the updates from pioneer every 6 months.

Wired
I too, noticed some map discrepancies. The street I live on appears on the map but the name does not. When approaching home the Z1 says something like "due to limited data, guidance cannot be provided". This street has existed for 20 years. I was under the impression that the Z1 came loaded with TeleAtlas data from Spring 2005. I wonder... I e-mailed Teleatlas and here is my question and their response. Hello, Last week I purchased a Pioneer AVIC Z1 which I'm told uses Teleatlas mapping software/data. The street that I live on appears on your map but does not have a name reference. This street has existed for the last 20 years so I'm curious as to why you have not identified the street name. The streets to either side of mine appear properly named in your database. Can this street name be added to your next update? How does your data get updated; do you use input from users? Apparently this has already been corrected. I show xxxxxxx off of xxxxxxx, E of xxxxxxx Rd. I don't know just how long this will take to percolate to Pioneer. Our data gets updated from various administrative and postal agencies, but users are a very important source. vijaja
Just sent them an issue: The Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport location is not correctly mapped. It maps me to Monroe St. in downtown Atlanta, while the airport is actually much further away (south of Atlanta, off North Terminal)

I haven't had a problem getting to the airport from Marietta
