I learned a fairly important lesson while in the Navy. *Always cover your own ass.* And that is exactly what Pioneer and all other Nav manufacturers are doing, just like Cali does with their cancer warnings that they put on....well..... everything.

 

I think their current implementation is just fine. They have even opened up the doors so that we can bypass them. So when you do kill yourself or someone else, they are not responsible, and get off the hook as they will find that you in fact bypassed the HU.

 

now if they would only pass a law that you could not use a handheld phone while operating a vehicle and push BT integration.
