skyline03
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP! NOW I WILL START CONVERTING MY Z1!!! One last question, Do i have to unlock the HDD even though i dont need to save anything from my HDD? Thanks
barfer
I'm pretty sure u need to unlock the Z1. Unless u are going to wipe out that Z1 drive and just load the Z2 on it. If so why don't u just buy a HD and keep the Z1 as a back-up? Thats what I am doing, mine should be in this week so can't wait to do the Z2 Now I guessing I will need to do the 2 wire bypass. Can you provide that link? Thanks

navyute
I just completed the z1 toz2 upgrade. I went with the new HDD method. Everything is working great! I figure if I'm going to spend roughly $50 to unlock the stock drive which freezes all the time. I might as well spend the $50 on a new, faster and larger drive and hope it cures the freeze problem at the same time. So far so good If you do go with a new HDD you will have to follow the instructions on the other post and disable the security feature, or the Z1 will lock it when you stick it in, so the instructions say. I didn't want to find out so I disabled them...it's free, might as well. Navyute
