jkruger83
The bypass worked for a while (self installed) and roblem.now it IS NOT working. I checked the lead for the parking brake and the mute wire are grounded properly! I made sure the mute wire is plugged into the top right slot on the harness with the flat part facing upwards and its in there really tight! Could this be a software issue? Im about to go pull the unit out again for the 4th time but really want to be sure, i even had an installer look at it who did the same thing in his car and is puzzled as to why its not working. As to not working i get the "system detected improper connection...." after 10 mph it shuts off dvd as well as my navi controls. Any other suggestions? I know this has been talked to death and I myself am totally able to follow the instructions, i just dont understand why after working for some time its suddenly not wanting to co-operate! whtcrxghst
Something is done wrong with your bypass. Check to make sure the grounds are good. Check to make sure you stuck the wire in the right hole. Check that something hasn't come loose
StealthShark
Sounds like either your ground got messed up or your Mute wire isn't connected properly. Did you ground the park brake and mute wires together to the chassis or use the factory harness ground?
HiFiSi
If all the connections necessary for the bypass are correct and solid, the bypass will work 100%. It's not a software issue. Recheck your connections, then recheck them again.
