  1. Please let us know about transferring the contacts. I really dont care about the bluetooth audio, but if i can transfer contacts i will be happy with that.
  2. If i cant get my presets to work through my steering wheel controls then i am not buying a avic f90bt or any other pac audio products. I will stick with my D3 then.
  3. What happened is that when you regrounded your amp you didnt have it grounded well at first so the amp will start looking for a good ground. It found its next ground through the rcas to the head unit. Pioneer puts little microfuses inside the amp that blow if the amp starts looking for a ground it will protect the head unit. You need to send your unit in and pioneer will fix the microfuse. When you get the unit back make sure you ground ur rcas so if the amp does get a bad ground and goes through the rcas it goes through the ground instead of the head unit so grounding ur rcas does help.
  4. Thats good information because my unit also turns off when i use onstar. If i didnt steal the mute wire for the bypass then maybe mine would mute instead of turn off. If i ever get board one day ill add a mute wire and connect it. I barely ever use onstar so it doesnt really matter to me at this point.
  5. I used the factory antenna on my saturn aura. Which i guarantee has the same shark fin antenna and plug as the saab (same platform) and the impala. All you do is unplug the antenna from factory xm take off the plastic connector and then i bought an extension cable because i had to run it farther and it fit better in the pioneer xm unit. SMB female to SMB male if i remember was the kind of cable i got.
  6. That is a smart idea. I wonder if I have enough room on the mounting bracket for my radio for the mic. If i can drill a hole in that then i wont be touching any of my factory pieces.
  7. For some reason the past couple days my navigation is putting me in the wrong city. I checked the signal status it says that my antenna is ok but im not locked on to any of the satellites. The antenna hasnt moved or anything. I have my vss connected so basically when i drive im in the wrong city but it shows me moving and just going through wrong streets at an angle.
  8. I had the same problem for a while to until i said screw it took the head unit out and taped that connector so it would stop moving around. Been good for a week now. Fingers Crossed.
  9. What I did was take off the yellow plastic connector and then i found an antenna extension cable. It fit snug to both the pioneer xm unit and the factory plug. This way I didnt change anything factory so if i do sell my car one day i can take it back to exactly stock.
  10. Yes the factory antenna will work. All you have to do is take off the plastic around the main connector and it will plug right into the aftermarket xm unit. Theres just a little clip on the side you pop that off and then the plastic connector comes right off. Then you are left with just a bare smb connector which will work perfect.
  11. I know on the gmos-lan-04 there is a wire that you keep touching to ground until you get the volume that you want. It is adjustable. The reason you dont hear onstar ready is because it takes some time for the gmos to switch the radio off to onstar so by the time its already set onstar has already said onstar ready. Your onstar still works fine.
