If I select the vehicle type as Lorry, does this:

1. Recalculate journey time based upon lower speeds, or

2. Recalculate the route based upon roads suitable for lorries, or

3. Something else

I am interested for when I tow my caravan.

Thanks

Colin

AFAIK, it will account for roads that are closed to truck traffic and alike.

I love the mod (F700-BT with 3.0)…however in my machine it seem that the campus red hand pointing to the south and not the north…might seems trivial but just a note

I believe author changed it to be red=South for some reason.

Of course when it was red=North (e.g. stock iGO skins) people were complaining about that, too :)

You probably need to edit compass.vpr and change colors there...

Thanks for posting the updated version for 3.0 and thanks for all the work Yuri, andr and Boris.

I have a question regarding the speed logs. Can you point me how I can increase the interval from the current two second update to maybe 10 seconds?

I see you guys added a trip screen and cruise screen. I was wondering why the digital.tff font was needed since I didn't recall the previous Yuri skin needing one, now I know.

I did make a small change, I changed the altitude to elevation as you can see.

Second, roadsigns are present even when not navigating.

I don't think this is a bug, the roadsigns or freeway signs I'll call them are like that in the original 3.0 software from pioneer. They show up on mine with no route as well using the default Pioneer software

I'm having a few issues with the 3.0 version of this mod...

First, the clock doesn't fit inside the box it sticks out by maybe 20 pixels to the right.

Second, roadsigns are present even when not navigating.

The third i'm not sure if its a problem or a setting I missed but I can't turn off the box to the left while not navigating.

Any help on these would be greatly appreciated... Other than these little issues seems to be a really great mod! :)

For number one:

In your navigatmap800_480 file in the ui_NavigateMapRouteNavigationInfos layer, find these two codes:

and replace with these:

What this does is that it will not show AM/PM allowing the text to fit in the space without decreasing the font size. AM/PM is already shown in the cruise screen so I figured that was a good trade off. If you'd rather keep the AM/PM you can decrease the font size a bit.

Number two: The roadsigns are shown with or without a route in standard form. There is a setting to turn them off completely if you don't like them on.

Number three: That's how the author designed it.

You couldn't increase or decrease it because the speed is written down not by interval but depends on speed changes. So the only way how to increase interval is to drive with the same speed.

Okay, thanks for reply Yuri.

Did somebody in Europe try this thing out? Looks great, but from the screenshots it looks to me as there is no TMC :(

Can somebody confirm one way or the other?

Thanks

Jörg

I am in the UK using the original 2 version. TMC works ok.

Second, roadsigns are present even when not navigating.

is it a bug or a feature? I'm not sure :)

can you pls give some cons against having it?

Alot of the time if I have the map up while not navigating I'm using like an old fashioned map. Just keeping on eye on upcoming streets and such. Having the giant roadsigns on the screen all the time makes the map completely useless for this.

Hi! I live in Italy and I have no problem about TMC! what's happened?

in regards of last update (18 sept), in route mode there isn't the watch that there was in the past... why?

I believe he replaced it with Time to destination/time of arrival ...

Sept. 25, 2009 update:

1. Returned to original Turnrestrictions.bmp

2. Added current time to the ETA/Time to Destination box (click to cycle through settings).

That was fast.

Boris - How's the turn restrictions working for you. It still seems screwy in 3.0. Sometimes a restriction would show where there is no street, and when it does show with a street nearby it'll turn off well before the street or into the street. I'd guess in the area I've driven it's about a 50/50 chance of being accurate.

Just tried to install 9-25 version but got an error:

ui_igo8/common/trackinglist.spr

Looks like it's referring a wrong directory. Appreciate any help.

Posted Sep 26, 2009 · 05:11 UTC#398

error: ui_igo8/common/trackinglist.spr

very strange. there is no referenece to ui_igo8 at all in the skin

anyway, how to reproduce it? do you have any other files unpacked

in iGo folder? I mean ui_pioneer/ui_igo8?

And also I've updated the skin to fit AM/PM time into the box,

I guess Boris will upload it here soon :)

Having the giant roadsigns on the screen all the time makes the map completely useless for this.

But they help you to drive. Your usual map doesn't do this for you

So, still I'm not sure if it is a good idea to remove it. But we may think about

a setting for it like "Show"/"Do not show"/"Do not show while not navigating"

You may try the changes from the attached file

That would be the perfect solution... That is probably the only thing keeping me from using this mod full time.

You should make this mod drink-ware... Coding for beer money
