can anyone tell me how to turn on the speedcam warning sounds? I can find where to add my own camera's, but I can't get it to make any noise to warn me...

Do I need to install the speedcam mod posted by Gadget B1?

When I go into the settings, navi settings, warnings, there is no buttons for camera.

I just installed this the other day and it is Sooooooooo much better than the stock interface.

I noticed in the instructions I copied over a new Voice file. However I'm still hearing the same ole Samantha TTS. Is the voice file for something else or do I need to somehow activate the new voice that I copied?

I see MSN now has Doppler Maps available as an 8th feed. Any idea how we program this into our AVIC's? I have figured out where & hw to add buttons on the screen, but how do we receive the feed?

The included Samantha voice file is the same one as stock. I forget why it was included because it has been quite a while since I put this mod on my AVIC. Read the thread from the beginning and you might discover why.

Installed non-MSN version on Canadian unit and loving it. Thank you so much for all your work on this. I read you're working on another update. I hope you're going to give us the option of seeing estimated arrival time and distance to next manoeuvre on the main screen. Again, thanks a million.

Same here. Been working on getting our house sold. Upgrading to a bigger place. If I sat down to do some coding right now the wife might behead me. On top of that, at work we are starting the beta out of our first product at work.

It's been crunch time on both ends of life!

I will talk to 34by151 again soon so we can get back on the bandwagon.

I have a small request...

I'm european and I already figured out how to set miles to km in the sys.txt.

 

The only thing I would like (to learn) is how to change the green 'US' style road signs (for lane direction I mean) to the blue 'european' ones.

Can somebody tell me which files I have to transfer from original data.zip?

All mods in this forum are free, and no license is required. You would have to read before using it.

No password required. You will need a cracked ezrider.exe and license ONLY if you want to use newer maps.

hi all just wondering to restore my f900bt back to stock i have tride using the free updates that were sent out bye poineer but nothing happens once i put sd in and boot up . it just starts as normal any help would be great

I've been running this mod for awhile now on my x710bt but I've noticed a couple of things.

a) At the bottom of my screen, when navigating on the highway, I don't see the arrows telling me what lane I should be in. I'm in Canada, just in case the region has an effect on the display.

At the top of the screen, I never see the green highway signs displayed, even when driving on major highways through big cities like Toronto and Montreal.

Am I missing out on these 2 features because of settings or is it some sort of a restriction on the x710bt??

c) Would a map update or any kind of mod allow for the navigation voice to tell me what street I'm turning on to instead of just telling me to turn?

You have those two features only when using NavTeq maps in Canada. TeleAtlas maps don't have that info.

In my honest opinion, I dont think it will ever come out. Here is the reason for this. one thing that I have noticed to be a major setback in modding for the Avic unit is Windows CE's poor memory management. Making mods overly complex is going to devastate stability in this unit. I have noticed that when I was working on my mod that I have based on Diaftias with a tonne of new features and new bmp's. When I had my mod originally done in its beta mode it was 25.7 mb. This caused the unit to run poorly to the point that when a button was pressed it would lag and at one point even rebooted, which happens when the systems resources are used up. I was forced to reduce it to 20.5 mb for stability, and with my new update update it is now at 19.5 mb with new features and additions and because of the reduced file size, it has been rock solid so far. thinking back, I still remember 34X151 posting that his release was running almost at 27mb. At that size with complicated scripting it would be highly unstable and I think that stability is the reason that this mod is not coming to light. I am hoping that it does one day come out as we really need more mods to keep this forum alive, but after nearly 8 months of this mod being debugged, I highly doubt it
