Success on Avic-F40BT   

First I tried to backup my German languages files wit Condis Hack 2.21...

No good idea, stuck on Bootscreen.

Deleting PRGx.flg doesnt help.

Flashed Pioneer version update 4.01 and unit works again.

Made a SD card with 2013 EU update and Voice directory with the needed voice file inside.

Flashed.... All ok, no Voice Files lost

Have you checked your AV1 and Av2 settings. Please check that and choose between IPOD and VIDEO.

The german files are avilable in the new update and no need to backup.

Where did you but them, are you sure that the files you but on the SD have been flashed, or only the original within the update were copied over?

_{the 2013 update from the first post of this thread comes with only 7 TTS voices : CZC, ENG, FIF, GRG, HUH, PLP and TRT.}

_{the german voice present in the update is the recorded one (which can't spell streets name), not the TTS one so, yes it needs a backup... unless you don't care loosing this fonctionality}

Wow... I did not even know that this device can spell street names, my F9310BT never did that.

Can anybody share these extended TTS voices? I am especially interested in the German one.

Is it formated as FAT32? Please reformat an try again, complete format will be better, it takes longer but will be the best way. If it doesn't work, try with another 8GB SD or a Micro-SD with adapter. I had the same issue with 16GB, 8GB and 4GB SD, succeed only with 8GB Micro-SD (Sandisk).

Think I'm going mad but I've downloaded the 5 files and the crack. How do I extract the five separate files to make one file?.. If I try and and extract I'm getting 5 separate files with update etc.

Install winrar, http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm , righ click on part1, and choose "extract here" or "extract to pionner 2013 update", and it will unpack all folders in 1 folder for you.

As Saman said, or download 7zip its free and right klick extract here. Then you will have  UPDATE and FIRMWARE folders also CARDINFO.cif. But all these to the root of your SD-CARD.

Succesfull update on my F40BT. Great that I now have updated maps. The explaination here on how to do the update was excellent and I had no problem at all.

Seems to be 2013 Q1, new streets and points weren't available until November 2012, but now are available. I've noticed by my self.

But Bluetooth i got 3.11? Not 3.32? Did i do something wrong?

to update BT, you must do it manually as it's independent from the map update.

go to th BT parameters and you'll find an "update" option...

oke and then? Use the same files? From the first post?

Nice news, 2012 were with very old db if i remember 2011.Q3, bad coverage, specially for EE. Hope now is better, i'm sure its better if inside is 2013.Q1.
