Now i'm locked, i'm trying to do my translation with the tool of @Shtirlitz  but the architecture of my initDB.dat are totaly not the same and i dont know where here the start of of the japanese data, if someone can help me ?

HI ,just joined  and very impressed with the quality of questions and answers . Well I'm about to lower the quality .

Just purchased a japanese import car which has a Carrozzeria AVIC-HRZ099 head unit . I've tried to understand the protocol , as it is all in japanese ,using Google translate on my smart phone but cannot see how to access the HDD.Any help their will be very much appreciated.

Also ,I've downloaded the manuals for this and managed to translate some of the pdf files using Google translate again ,but the main files are greater than 10Mb  and google doesn't want to know .tried to split the files (unsuccesful) ,again any suggestion or help will be appreciated .

Hi,

I have MRZ09 and it is stuck on startup screen showing Pioneer etc. I can enter in Test Mode but can not backup or delete User directory. When trying it it just shows wait, I have waited around 15 minutes but nothing happens.

Also it is very slow when I go to User directory, that takes around 1 min.

Is there way to hard reset it?

Would be very pleased any hints what can be done because box is now unusable. I have read all messages in this thread but none of those has helped.

It started first by not showing parking camera and worsened then by stucking on start screen.

I tried to slip the testmode.key file, but it didnot work!I generated a file using py script, but not successfully !
climbed into ida and what do I see! text must be in UTF-16LE encoding!!!

Anyone have any idea how to compile testmode.key file for fresh Pioneer's models from 2018?

Who has a copy of the firmware for Pioneer Carrozzeria avic RZ-33 ? 

I disassembled two testmod.key (MRZ and RZ models) files in the IDA.В 
And I looked at the procedures for decrypting the testmod.key file.В 
And they are almost identical with the exception of one transition, which is not clear what that nonsense.В 
Procedures almost one to one and the file does not work!

I'm trying to slip the testmod.exe file from MRZ to the RZ series into the firmwareВ

I managed to change the testmode.exe and the key came up! but in the apl folder there is no navi.exe and other things ... again picking the firmware aaa

Hi, my original firmware was deleted and i managed to get a back up copy. When i try pasting the prg0 and prg1 in the user directory, it keeps saying, now pasting but nothing happens. Can someone please help. Many thanks

I have trawled through almost every page of this post and still cannot find a WORKING .lng file for my AVIC-MRZ90. Does a file actually exist ?

Hi, so my user folder is empty and i cant paste anything in it. Online search results suggest that i need a bootable cd- original firmware to install it. Does anyone have a copy they can share, pretty please.
