    Finally I have unlocked my iPad. After posting the thread here when I did not get any response then I searched on Google and came across this useful guide. The task which I followed to unlock my iPad, first I pressed & hold the top button until see the power off slider. Then dragged the slider for turning of and waited for a while for it to shut down completely. It was a painful experienced I never forget. But now I feel relax to solve the issue.

    Once the sd card is placed in a unit and turned on the card becomes password protected. There are people here who say they know that password but I do not. Even if I did, I do not know how to unlock the card. Maybe others can help.

    I have a working W4500NEX SDcard. How can we go about test booting the W4500NEX unit to make a good a backup copy that can be applied to a higher quality SD card?

    I have two W4500NEX headunits. the SD card failed on one of them. How do I backup the other one on the unit that is still working? I easily removed the SD card, but I cannot read it in Windows to backup up or make an image. I merely want to make a block level copy so I can use a reputable SD Card brand to mitigate this issue.

    Download the attached file and unzip. Then replace the Cardinfo.cif file on the update SD with the unzipped one. Z110Z120X920CARDINFO.zip

    Apologies for a ‘newb’ topic, but has been 4 years since I last updated my AViC F90BT system. I have so far updated (using HERE maps, seem to be popular now) my maps (only the 2 main files so far the fbl and fpa (and my regions hnr files), but intend to add the fda and fsp in the morning all in maps folder. Are there any other ‘map’ files that work on my system? And finally, licenses came with the maps but the system seems to work as it is this evening. Do I need these ‘extra’ licenses and if so where do they go? Many thanks in advance, Timbo

    What model are you trying to update? It is likely you don't have the correct cardinfo file.

    I need some help. After i installed the shortfuse and it says i am ready to update the map. I remove the sd card and restart the unit. I inset the sd card with the map update, but nothing happens. Is it possible to use the supertest mode and force install the update?

    Is your parking brake set (or has it been bypassed)? Maybe it was never wired. Many settings can only be changed when the parking brake is set. In fact, this is controlled by the "Safe Mode" set to On. Is this a newly installed unit, possibly a used one? "Safe Mode" defaults to On. So it sounds like someone had previously turned it Off Disclaimer: mine is a US unit (Z110-BT), and we don't have a "Safe Mode" option. So I'm guessing about the behavior of "Safe Mode" based on looking in the F-9xx series user manual.

    It's possible that the headunit needs power to boot up fully and access the bootloader via UART. Try connecting it to power and then retrying the UART connection. Ensure the baud rate matches and check for any hardware or wiring issues.

    Sooo, should I download test mode and that way try to instal older firmware version ? But in this mega there is only 1.14 for eu and image I put on SD is 1.15

    This ! Exactly what I mean. It would be really nice if one skilled developer could make some kind of an app or website with all files, scripts, apps and instructions that are needed to keep those devices up and running or resurecting if failed already. And explain it with words simple enough that people that are handy with computers and stuff but are not programmers could understand it and make it work. I know that servers, hostings etc costs money, so access to all the knowledge and database could be behind some few dollars paywall.

    Ok, I made a new SD card with image and unit started to the system, then I downloaded upgrade to 1.21 put it on usb stick and into the first USB slot, started update thru menu like the instructions says and then I got "update failed", unit no longer starts to the system, and SD card cant be read by any of my computers, so I bought new SD card, put an image on it, put it into unit and its still trying to install update even without usb stick in unit, after powering on I only get "Reading, please wait for a while" then "failed" ... Any clues ?
