I have seen some people here that say they know the password code to unlock the sd card, but I do not know it and I don’t even know how to unlock it even if I did. There are far smarter people than me that show up from time to time that could maybe help, but unfortunately that person is not me. Sorry I cannot help any further, that is all I know.

How did make the SD card visible in a computer? I pulled the card from a working avh-4200NEX, but it's not visible in the computer and so I cannot backup the file image.

If you pulled this card from a working 4200 then the card is password protected. Once you place the stock sd card in a unit and turn it on the unit it will protect the card.

I have the stock SD card out and I want to backup the image. But I still don't know how. I'm happy to share it here if I could extract the image from the stock SD card.

I have removed the SD card from my AVH-4200NEX headunit. The pupose is to backap the image file. However, using an SD card reader, the stock SD card is not detected in WIndows. The SD card reader is working with other SD cards. So how to backup the stock SD card in Windows 11? I installed Ubuntu WSL (in windows 11) but the stock SD card is still not detected. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for sharing, this helped me out too for DMH-1770NEX. So far my car radio seems better off, but the problem has been intermittent before the fix, so may take a week or two to know for sure if this fixed it on my end. There was nearly no solder on the pins as-is, so hoping this will stay ok. I'm curious if anyone has the forced update files for DMH-1770NEX? I have the latest firmware (CUST_PIO.BIN w/ CUST_PIO.md5), but wasn't sure if the additional files (ISPBOOOT.BIN, ISPBOOOT.md5, turndegradedmode) from the upload are compatible with this model. @asd255 i know its been a while since you posted this, but i joined the site just to thank you...my 1770nex was freezing and rebooting nonstop...only once a white screen....when i pulled the unit apart, the chip didnt even look soldered, i flowed it, but also tapped it with the iron so i could actually see some solder...so far hasnt frozen once....so thanks very much!!!

How do I import a GPX file with routing data and way points. It is from an RV safe routing program but I want to use my indash GPS.

Set your parking brake. I am assuming that you have the parking brake sensor installed correctly.

So I recently had this problem. Happy to have found this thread. Even though I still encountered some hurtles. So have a ZF9350BT. Basically the SE Asian equivalent. I have a Pioneer AVIC-F80DAB and I want to charge my phone with USB from the device even though I want to listen to regular FM radio. But the device changes source every time I plug it in and go into Apple Carplay. If I have then selected Phone there, the sound is not interrupted, but it goes to Phone on Carplay but continues to play FM radio. If i played Spotify the last time, Spotify starts playing when I connect the phone. But I would like to choose manually to go to Carplay (or other source) but I can't find anywhere to turn off the auto-selection. Is there any possibility to do

There is nothing that I know of that can be done once the sd card is locked. Someone else can chime in if they have an answer.

Is there some test-mode that we can boot into for the W4500NEX? I tried using what i found on the forum, even on my older 4201NEX, and I was unsuccessful. If I can boot in a test-mode and can make a backup image, it would probably be ideal

What is the history of this unit? Did you buy it used and install it yourself, or maybe bought a car with it already installed? The grayed settings indicate it isn't properly installed. There's lots of info on how to do the parking brake bypass, sounds like you need to read-up or watch YouTube vids. However if the parking brake wire is indeed missing from the harness, that must be corrected regardless of whether you install it as specified by Pioneer or do the bypass (moving the mute wire) Btw, the x910bt has Bluetooth (that's what "bt" stands for in the model name). So don't blame Pionee

Why can't I get into my settings menu? It's all grayed out and the only thing that works is the radio? I can't get into settings and I believe the parking wire is missing when it was bought is there anything I can do to fox this? Do I jus move the mute wire over to the other spot that everyone's mentioning? Someone please help? And the fact that it doesn't have Bluetooth is pretty crappy.. Why would pioneer do such a thing?

Finally I have unlocked my iPad. After posting the thread here when I did not get any response then I searched on Google and came across this useful guide. The task which I followed to unlock my iPad, first I pressed & hold the top button until see the power off slider. Then dragged the slider for turning of and waited for a while for it to shut down completely. It was a painful experienced I never forget. But now I feel relax to solve the issue.

Once the sd card is placed in a unit and turned on the card becomes password protected. There are people here who say they know that password but I do not. Even if I did, I do not know how to unlock the card. Maybe others can help.
