1. I just placed an order for one on Crutchfield, I guess I will get it when I get it....also ordered the Ipod Adaptor..they had it for $49.99...also out of stock, but for ~$179.00 for them both shipped, I can wait lol.
2.
if you turn the unit off will it still be bypassed when you turn it back on? just curious
If you are refering to turning the Z1 off, there is no way to actually turn it off, if the ignition is on it is on...
3. Thats what counts! I used the dimmer wire and it works as well...I love this thing lol!
4. The dimmer wire would have worked for you as well.
5. My p-brake lead is just grouned. I got Ducati's circuit so I could use all the Nav functions when in motion.
6. Yep, the 2592x1305 did it, this is the image Im using for AV bacground...
7. With my p-brake wire grounded when I would do the headlight trick, and now with ducatiboys circuit I don't get the P-Brake warning.
8. I hooked mine up on the bench using a 12v power supply prior to installing it in the car and watched it pulse 12v then pass through 12v....not that I didn't trust you or anything, just that I had to see it myself before hooking it to a HU that cost almost 2k lol. Like I said before, works like a charm!
9. It should work with any camera with a rca output for video and a separate power conector.
10. Just intstalelled it, works great! No longer get the brake lead connected wrong message with it either (my break lead is grounded)! Thanks Ducatiboy!!
11. I wouldnt bother changing the LEDs, it would be a lot of work and most likely void your warrenty.....I thought the blue would look odd with my interior lights (green) but there is so much other color on the actual display that it really isnt that noticable.
12. PAC SWI PS is the wired version...
13. If yours works like mine, you will have to put the headlight switch in the off postition before starting the vehicle. Once you start the truck and see the Pioneer Loading... on the upper left corner turn the lights on (all the way over to headlight position) and then back to off. Then you can flip it back over to the auto postion. Also, before you do this you will have to cover up the light sensor on the dash (or wherever it is on a 150) so that it will think it is dark out.
14. Got mine today, can't wait to get it intstalled!
15. I've never even heard the fan, I wouldnt know there was one if I hadn't seen it before the install.
16. Ive never had it not do it, but I have had it take a while...think it gets confused or something...
17. Damn, I think its the V button, I will have to check tomorrow...Ill let you know.
18. The orange wire will not be on the factory harness, it will be on the factory adaptoer harness...
19. There is a brightness control for the screen, hit the V button...

is the Z1 for me?

Z1 does everything you want as long as you buy the iPod Adaptor and the Bluetooth Adaptor... Plust its probably easier to use than the factory system, most of the ones I have seen have a pretty shity user interface...
21. Probably uses a wide angle IR and hopes enough of it hits the Z1 to make it work...
22. Im guessin they didnt hook up the ill wire.
23. You just need to connect it to your dimmer wire that originally went to the factory radio.....this exactly why I installed it myself instead of having it "professionaly installed."
24. I dont get the warning when I do the bypass..
