Road closure yes. Not traffic accident. An accident that closes 3 lanes on a highway doesnt constitute a road closure, even tho there are only 3 lanes each way. Dont always trust what Pioneer puts in print. What they print, and what happens are two different things lol I have noticed this quite a bit using the navtraffic in NYC. If a road is closed due to flooding after a bad storm, i will get rerouted. If there is an accident ahead, i will not get rerouted until i physically turn off from the planned route.

There are two types of data with NavTraffic. Incident data and flow data. the Avics will only reroute if the data shows the average mph are significantly slower than the average road and highway speeds you have set in the avic. The software will not reroute simply because of an incident. Also not every city gives the avic both incident and flow data. check the coverage maps on xmradio.com to see what your city offers.

You Europeans have noone to blame but yourselves. You want to cheat your local governments by not paying taxes, VAT, customs duties, etc., by buying an EU AVIC. You purchase a US AVIC off of ebay, have the seller write "GIFT" on the customs form to save even more money, and then you complain when it doesnt work. Save some extra dollars and buy EU stuff.

For some reason the AVIC units are very picky. You cant quickly mass produce these discs to get the best results. You need to burn at max 4x speed, and used HIGH quality discs such as Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Any less and you are accepting the risk it will not work right in the immediate or in the future.

go to refresh.xmradio.com and put in the XM Serial # found on Channel Zero of you Z1 sat radio. It will send a refresh signal to your unit incase some sort of glitch happened. thats a start to troubleshoot with.

If you have any success downloading the CNDV-70MTP software from BitTorrent, you can use that to upgrade your N2 and use that disc going forward.

Based on what Ive seen in that handheld GPS unit with NavWeather, Id like it for my AVIC. On my cross country trips it would be nice to have a radar/doppler overlay on my navscreen to show me when I am about to encounter bad weather. It is the difference for me to keep driving, or pull over and stay inside a hotel for the night.

It is for the D1/D2/N1/N2/N3 and some older touchscreen models It is NOT for the D3 or N4.
