AR2 rear view camera - what to buy?
hotmoosettu replied to meall's topic in AppRadio, AppRadio 2, AppRadio 3
I have this one and it works just fine. Cheap, clear, and easy to install. Only thing I regret not doing is hooking it up to a constant power source so i can view it at any time, not just while backing up. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005Q65JHM?psc=1 -
I'm looking at buying a battery case for my iPhone 5. The case is MFi certified, so it also has the capability to charge and sync while in the case. The kicker is that is uses a micro-usb cable to charge/sync. So my question is how do I use this and still connect to my AppRadio 2? I currently have the lightning av adapter

I've got an issue I've run into recently. I've got an iPhone 5, jailbroken on 7.0.4 with the latest version of AppRadio app (2.6.1 maybe?) and the most recent firmware for my AppRadio 2. Ever since updating to 7.0.4 I've begun dropping calls and service when leaving my car. Specifically as follows: iPhone connected via lighting/hdmi to head unit. Bluetooth phone call (doesn't matter whether I call someone or someone calls me) in progress. I arrive wherever I'm going, unplug my iPhone and open my door (which kills power to the head unit). Within seconds my phone drops the call, and proceeds

I believe I had this same issue when I first downloaded waze for my iphone. There was a setting in waze that I had to enable video out/second screen/exterior control something like that. It was defaulted to off I guess.

I believe I remember reading somewhere on here that if you are using the USB from the back of the head unit, the amperage is too low to actually charge your phone, merely maintain where it's at. I personally use a separate car charger into my lightning av adapter and it charges just great. That being said, what are you using?

hotmoosettu replied to jlinnell98's topic in AppRadio, AppRadio 2, AppRadio 3
I hooked up my reverse camera to my AR2 this weekend. Is there anyway to wire it so it's available to view at anytime, but also auto switches to the camera when i put my truck in reverse?- 28 replies

Hey all, new to the family! Just got my appradio 2 yesterday, it's hooked up and almost installed (need to bust out the dremel to cut out a back support to make it fit). Title pretty much sums up the question. I recently purchased an appradio 2 off of craigslist and they didn't have the usb cable for it. This wouldn't be a big deal except it's not updated to the newest firmware! And with the CD-IH202 package, you're basically paying 50 bucks for this one cable (hdmi cables are so cheap now). So does anyone know of a place to get one of these other than straight from Pioneer or the CD-IH202
