I would contact pioneer with exactly what plugs were cut. I could see if its a main plug on the adapter, ie one that doesnt unplug, but ones that would say plug into the adapter, then into the unit could be replaced. good luck

or you can just download Acronis Disk Director, the full version, and you can do it. i did mine through usb. Now i have a 60 gb toshiba drive with z2 image, and 30gb music partition.

Just finished my upgrade. I took a new MK6034GAX 60 gb toshiba drive and put the z2 image on. I had to use my laptop and a external hard drive case to disable security and apply the image. Did the 2 wire bypass and everything works great. Thanks guys. Now im just waiting to see how to expand the music partition to 30gb

I just finished doing my Z2 upgrade. I took the toshiba 60gb hdd, turned off security by putting it in my laptop, and then restored the z2 image onto the drive thru a external harddrive case. I didnt have a desktop to make everything easier. I then did the 2 wire bypass, and everything is working great. Thanks to everyone here.

take the light green wire and connect it to any ground. it tells you not to connect your ebrake wire, just the light green wire to any ground point
