  1. too large covers is the issue here. try them in 300x300 format
  2. only works on the x000 platform (incl. 5000-8000NEX/F960BT/F60DAB, AVIC-F960BT / AVH-X8600BT / SPH-DA120). Not on the x100! pass: avic411 Download file Unpack downloaded file(s) into FAT32-formatted USB stick, insert stick into USB1 (USB2 isn't working). Your device will reboot into testmode. Select Write program forcedly => Copy Script, script will patch your system and reboot. Remove USB stick after script finishes. NEVER ENTER COPY DEVICE MODE, YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE! remove_pl_and_smartphone_OK_screen_x000.zip

  6. seems to only turn off the screen but is fully operational when it comes to functions. nex8000 and f60dab is the same so this should work.
  7. No just the default background image with a dropdown button in the top leftcorner. no animations
  8. 1. satnav annoying warning every time you go into mapping 2. no power off (added the option) The warning is on all software/firmware / units. But only when you turn on the unit /start the car first time. untill you shut it down again. There is an power off option but the unit turns on to an blank default screen with all options off. this is for all latter pioneers i think
  9. sorry. need a signup first http://avicsignup.herokuapp.com
  10. yes. updates through naviextras
  11. i can only speak for the F60DAB.... Amazon reviews are ups and downs...lot of crazy people who complain since they dont know how the unit works. No trouble with GPs. Type in things manually....no problem. USB works. Android an mirroring works....use the usbcable. There is no OFF button on the unit, but you can turn it off in the options (turns on but silence). Handbrake error = wrong wireing from the user. No bluetooth problems...etc. Latest firmware versions solves alot of errors and faults. On the latter updates its more bugfixes then new addons...but thats okay Regarding the
  12. Hi. The F60DAB (european) is labeled as NEX8000 in the US. Latest firmware is 1.15 released last month. To update the maps you can buy/update the maps with naviextras (not cheap), or you can patch/hack the IGO software to install downloaded packages from online sites/forums. Patch/hack/testmode is confirmed working up to fw 1.14 (1.15 you need new testkeys so not 100% confirmed working yet) Then you can install/transfer maps and remove the safety warning with some scripts you can get in this forum. Regarding the handbrake, its a grounding thing as you say
  13. New keys available for the new firmware asd255 was so kind to share some Golden apples & eggs with us. The content he provided contained some different versions of testkeys. The one we need (i thnk) is the tech one, so this is the one im sharing. Use the goldenapple.tst key with your preffered patch . pass: avic411 Hopefully admins/asd255 dont mind if i share this file,...otherwise please edit this post GOLDENAPPLE.zip
  14. atm you just have to have alot of patience btw i think you can downgrade the unit to an older version, then the patch/crack will work.
  15. people are still around but maybe using other forums more frequently. maybe try joining https://avichacking.slack.com ? http://avicsignup.herokuapp.com/
  16. testmode(key) is needed if you are gonna update/copy maps to your unit. If you bought the maps, then no worry. Use naviextras. But if you downloaded them, you need the testmode-key to copy maps and patch the navsoftware.
  17. atm you cant enter testmode to apply the patch with this update. so stick with 1.14
  18. atm no. Think Pioneer have done something with the new firmware regarding testmode. Stick with the "old" one until someone else can confirm this.
  19. also check the size of the images. i usually use 300x300 on my nex8000. images above 500x seems to not work so well
  20. Sounds great Bad batch of USBdrives maybe? Just remember after the upgrade to 1.14 (or 1.11...if you stop there ) to do the BT upgrade also
  21. maybe this post may give you more clarity? http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/39704-update-108-file-error-fix-found/
