Just wondering , if I change my car battery would : 1) the d3 reset and start from scratch again (learn again); 2) the bt module require you to reregister your phone and would you need to input all contacts again ? thanks

i wish d3 had a valet function wherein it prompts you for a password so everytime you take your car for valet or service no one could use it except you.

theres another quicker way use your phones quick dial option

noob question here do the colors of the satellite mean something, i only see orange and yellow sattelites, do they turn green?

did you remember how did you connect/register your samsung to the d3? i remembered i initiated the registration of the phone through the d3 (d3 did the search) and not the other way around . this is just an idea, i would cancel the registered phone and do a reset on the btb200 (theres a button there) and start from scratch. i dont know if that will make a difference. good luck, hope you could get it to work.

first connect /register phone in d3 which i believe you did when you hit phonebook transfer on d3 your phone will disconnect time to transfer your phone contacts (1 at a time via your phone) Heres what i see on my phone contact list > i choose 1 contact (lets say wife) > option > send via > bluetooth >search new device > u should see pioneer> thats it hope that helps you out. let me know if it works

when your phone disconnects, you could transfer only one contact at a time ; on your phone go to the address book and highlight the person you want to transfer and transfer it via bluetooth. then you will see on the d3 confirm the transfer. Do you have the same handset Tony? I tried looking for an option to send right from the address book on the phone but there isn't. When moving the contacts to the "My Stuff" folder on the phone, I'm allowed an option but when I select it, the BTB200 is not on the device list to send to. i have a samsung d807 also a slider phone. make sure you

phone book transfer works! one at a time though after you finish registering the d807 in the avic d3 ; you go to phonebook transfer this will make the d807 disconnect dont panic on you d807 you could go to your contacts and send each contacts' detail via bluetooth and voila.
