Just wanted to drop a quick note here. I've been using ducatis flash circuit since the first batch (how long now DB?) and it works absolutely flawlessly every single time. I've never had it fail to bypass my unit. The unit just works as it should. I'm in total agreement that grounding two wires is easier. I just wanted to say that the circuit works in a plug and play fashion without any issues.

I haven't played around with it but it sounds like if you set a sound it will make a sound when you are nearing one? Either way they will always be on your overhead map.

I find that every so often my unit will go into "updating" and nothing will come through on xm. Today none of the channels work and when you first boost the unit on it just says "loading" The connection screen says that xm is connected and that the signal is "very strong". Anyone else having strange xm issues?

The best I've found to do is to turn off the screen and turn off the source input. That will blank the screen and turn off all sound. Either way it shouldn't interfere with the bypass.

Yeah I'm doing the same thing. Honestly I didn't want to give them any money up front peroid so i'm pretty happy they're not forcing contracts or anything at this point. Their yearly discount wasn't worth it and I guess they don't offer a lifetime anymore? That might have been worth it while it was available.

The ONLY option is to "rip" an original CD. With that said I have ripped cdr (copied originals) as well. The manual says you're not suppose to be able to do that, so I';m not sure h

Just disconnect your ebrake wire, you don't need it anymore.

Best is to solder but I always thought that to be a bit overboard and not necessarily better than crimping unless you're really good at soldering.

So I finally got this to work and thought I'd post to possibly help others that may have been confused as well. What I think I learned (may not be right but works for me): You must disconnect your ebrake wire on the Z1 if you want to use this full time. Basically what I notice is that when the system detects a change in the ebrake (if you have it hooked up correctly) it will remove the bypass and relock the unit. This isn't a big deal I guess if you release your ebrake before you start your car and never use it again for the remainder of the trip, but generally isn't the order I do thi

If you don't do the bypass one time and you try to do something like watch a dvd or something (with the parking brake grounded) then

So my confusion this far: With the bypass/this circuit/whatever do you have to ground the brake wire? Do you need to do anything extra when using it or will it just work all the time? I tried to search through the now huge thread on this but it seems like different people are reporting different things.

I purchased the same thing. It DOES NOT WORK. Basically it's severs the connection to the ebrake (grounds it) and the speed wire (just disconnects it) with relays. This absolutely will not work because the Z1 will use other sensors to detect motion. Please email him to let him know it doesn't work, I've already spoken to him on the phone and he claims that he has it working but I don't by it since NOONE has gotten the Z1 to work in the fassion.

I'm definitely interested in what anyone finds on this. Keep us updated those that are testing!
