Just for a refresher what is the best hdd for the avic z series stereo's? That way as people read this thread they will know what hdd to buy Hyperite would probably anwser this one!

Make sure you play with the password. Its tricky sometimes with any phone

I hooked it up to the AV aux input. Works like a champ.. Great resolution for what it is. The kids love it.

I'm hearing of voice command stuff, Like track switching etc... Maybe someone with one can shed some light on this!

I have the LG voyager and it works with the z2. Don't know it this has been posted but it is now!

Sweet, Yeah I was pretty sure someone was working on it. I just was wanting an "official" word on it . Thanks guys for all the hard work that's put in on modding and upgrading.

I'm sure they will increase the channels once they get enough buisness for it. They will probably have "packages". On another note no one here has any clue on going about installing this? I am trying to get my ducks in a row before it gets here.....

I saw 2 z3's for sale on ebay.

I bought one of these because they are out now. Has anyone else hooked one up to there Z2? I suppose I will hook it to the aux input? I want to project it on the rear screen. Any tips on going about doing this? EDIT: I just saw another thread about this. Maybe we can sticky one so multiple ones wont get posted?

I bought a z2 and currently have a z1 installed. The unit I had died and will be sending it in to get replaced and will be selling it. I upgraded to the z2 because I can!! Ok here's the question, I already have all the harnesses installed in the truck and shouldnt have to change them right? Also I have the 2 wire bypass done on the Z1 and was wondering if I can leave it like it is, and install the software after I hook it up. Basically, will it affect anything if I leave it bypassed? Then upgrade the software? It might not even need the software upgrade but I just want to check. Also anyone h

started working two days later, finished my install yesterday and it went back to the same problem. It is going back and a new one is already on the way. If anyone else gets these errors your unit is most likely defective.

I just bought a avic z1 and its DOA. when you go to hardware page where you can see the GPS sats vss status etc.. I have numerous errors. The list is: GPS NOK VOLTAGE NOK VSS NOK BACKUP NOK These errors leads me to believe the gyro in it is inop. I called pioneer and they say the unit is defective. Evverything else works though. Crazy. I am sending the unit back for a refund and have since purchased another which I hope will be here next week. I have another question though. I hooked the PAC adapter up for the steering wheel controls and all works well, however I bought another for

AH, Sounds a lot easier then what I was thinking. I guess I will run the wires down the passenger side door jamb. I will also be installing a back-up camera and a infinity basslink sub in the rear on the right side. I will also leave the stock 8" sub. Question. When wiring this unit up, Since the headunit is amplified, I dont have to bypass the stock amps do I? I don't know if the door speakers have an amp installed for them. So what exactly needs to be done? I am all up for the most simple way!!! I appreciate any help you can give misfit! The flip down monitor is a legacy and it included a metal braket for mounting.

Ok, fellas I need some help. I will be putting a AVIC z1 in my 2006 lincoln navigator with the bluetooth, ipod adapter and sirius. Also putting a flip down DVD screen in the roof. Who has done this? I need the easiest way to drop the headliner(if needed) to install the screen and also where you hooked up your wires. I bought a wiring diagram book and should be recieving it soon. I will start this project maybe next weekend. Any help is appreciated. I will post pics of my NAVI after install. 06GATOR
