Thanks. Apart from being distracted by your avatar I'm sort of leaning that way to. There is one thing I still don't know. Is that satellite radio interface the same between the Z2/D3. I know the D3 has the memo button that can remember up to 6 SONGS. What can the Z2 do?

I've been on the forum for a while now. I've researched the differences between the Z2 and D3 and I know the ups and downs of both. To start, I could care less about watching video or full function while driving. I had a bypassed N1 and it's just not worth it for the bypass (for me). My N1 crapped out on me a few months ago. I had the Best Buy service plan but they couldn't fix it. So they gave me a few choices to pick for replacement. They said I could either get the D3 for $230, or the Z2 for $870. Both of these are after taxes and all said and done. I don't have an Ipod and don't p

My N1 started doing this as well. Eventually it stopped ejecting them completely. I had the warranty with Best Buy. I took it in, they are currently fixing it but only have 12 more days to get it back to me otherwise I get what I paid for it in a giftcard (read: buying a D3 soon). Sorry can't help you on your issue though.

It's for racing. If you crash no glass gets on the track. D3 looks good. All of the double DIN's I've seen so far look amazing in Nissan's. Not a fan of the carbon fibre but car looks great inside and out.

He just means you have a properly engineered car. Look at the cavalier which is supposed to compete with the civic. Quality, efficiency and other stuff the cavalier just gets put to shame by the Honda.

I know there's a dash kit for the single DIN opening's. When I looked at it it just seemed to easy for there not to be a double DIN kit. I've never seen one but I'm sure it's out there. Don't worry about the top right corner of the radio bezel being more to the right, the dash kit will compensate for this. As for suggestions I'd say stick with the Z series units but the D3 is very similar. Depending on your preferences it might be better.

I'm guessing your going to have to fight off the ball and chain for that.

Can you post a pic of your dash. Is your hazard button built into the radio bezel?

If it's the same style dash as the F-350 then it will work for sure no questions asked. The kit I used was from BestKits. It changed that mounting points to an ISO type mount. You screw the brackets onto the side of the stereo, then into the opening, it was a joke.

Budget $200??? Even Best Buy does it for less then that. Half the places you can get them to do it for free as long as you buy it from them. Best of luck with fixing the probem.

I thought it was just the kit that causes the gap but on closer look it's actually bending. Still looks good either way.

No clue on the VSS. People have used the OEM antenna but as metnioned above you have to change over the plug. FYI: Who doesn't want a "professional installation". It's not like some people want a bad installation and ask for it.

I hear you on most of the stuff. After using the N1, and a 4800MP, any form of memo button is greatly welcomed. And having a picture on the screen is nice as well.

^^No, that's just GM "quality". Dodge and Ford aren't much better either. I work at an install bay and damn are all of the american cars burtal for interior quality. Gaps are all differnet sizes. Terrible.

Go to any computer store and get the screen cleaners they sell for computer monitors/plasma screens. Best Buy sells them to.

Most stores actually just hook the parking brake up to ground. That's all that's needed to have full functionality when "parked".

Thanks! That did help. I was happy for a little bit and then..well, the screen just stopped working. I lost all control of the front panel except for the volume and eject. The radio and everything still worked but nothing showed up on the screen. I'm guessing most likely the ribbon cable but then why did the front panel stop working? I had Best Buy's service plan so I took it in there and now I wait. So I'm using an old DEH-6700. The interface is actually better then the N1. Not so much better really but the letters are twice as big. Thanks for your help anyway. 99 rs

Is this a newer thing where you have to fill it with random stuff? On my N1 I just put the 20 pictures in the folder and THAT'S IT. Nothing else. It has always worked.

I don't know what you mean. I go into the function buttons and it has no option to change anything. Just some presets and then Function 1-4 which seem to do nothing. Also there is some "auto/manual" button which is stuck on auto and will not let me change it.

I just recently picked up and installed the PNR2 on my AVIC N1. It does what it has to do so far. At first I set my presets and everything was fine. When I pushed up and down on the joystick it switched through my presets. Then, I decided to play around with things and went into the A.Menu . I must have did something but now when I push up and down on the joystick it flips categories instead of my presets. And when I'm in the category and push left and right on the joystick it will only cycle in the category and won't go outside of it. It's so annoying. I checked the manual of the PNR2
