1. seems like I was help seeing how whtcrxghst confirmed what I said. All I was trying to say is some people just check the net on their lunch breaks and if I were a company man, that'd be all i check it too. 3 hours isnt enough time for people to check the net.
2. You really expect someone to respond in 3 hours? Not everyone spends a majority of the day on the internet like you or I. I suspect you'll have to get a tuner for it, similar to the Z-series. I say this because it only comes with 1 antenna awhich is meant for the gps signal itself.
3. Based on what crutchfield told me, if you buy a Premier unit from an internet company you won't have a warranty. Thats the reason they dont sell them, and if you ask me, they would be the first ones to be if they could. Also, I put my deposit down on mine last week at an authorized Premier dealer and I paid less than $999...
4. I'm willing to give it a try, I live in Charlotte and we have the half-assed version of Navtraffic (no traffic flow). I looked at the MSN Direct site yesterday and it looks like a nice interface, especially with weather forecasts and other things.
5. they didnt, I was just basing off of the pioneer release letter. Is it ok to post the amount we pay without the shops getting in trouble? After he ran my card i told him what pioneer said MSRP was. He said that they'd be selling for $100-$150 less than that in June.
6. I put my "deposit" on my F90BT last night... I paid for the whole thing. I called to ask the store if they would do it and they gave me 25% off MSRP!!
7. like the phone #'s? Mine works and it took all of 2 seconds to send 250 numbers to my Z2. From the Z2 tell it to read the address cards, after it says it's ready to accept go into the bluetooth menu on your 8830 and transfer the cards. that's it.
8. - volume control while you are on a call for the music and the callers voice on the main screen - ipod control (obviously) i'll think of more
9. there is a volume button in the menu->settings submenu, you can set the caller volume there. Not too loud, otherwise your caller will echo.
10. Not yet!! someone give this man some lessons!!!
11. the illumination wires need to be connected behind your z2, apparently your installer didnt do that...
12. no night mode = not connected to illumination no navi while driving = 2-wire bypass echo = bluetooth sucks
13. Also you may want to try manually moving the cursor to your exact location. There's a command somewhere in the menu.
14. i've seen the stadium, the golf one, and the ferris wheel
15. i'm in CLT with a Z2. Tell me when and where. I work until 6 everyday though so it'd be after work. PM me when you think of a place.
16. Beachdoc, I'm in Charlotte (semi-close to wilmington) and just installed a Z2 in my maxima. I have yet to connect a switch to my setup but plan on doing so this weekend. I have the ND-BT1, the ipod adapter, the xm with navtraffic and the PAC steering wheel adapter so I have a feeling my outcome will be similar to yours. I connected the ebrake wire to ground temporarily and didn't connect the VSS. I'll let you know how things work out sometime this weekend!
17.
Im leaning heavily towards the Z-1, only downsides are that the new ones cant be unlocked as opposed to the Eclipse
new bypass was just released for the newer z1's... check the home page
