I would not expect it at all, there's no real reason to release the firmware for ANY of their products, patents nonewithstanding.

My 07 Silverado has onstar and the mute wire was NOT being utilized by the Scorsche harness...Bypassed and Onstar still mutes the radio when activated.

The idiots at my local best buy didn't do the reverse or illumination (he did try it but couldn't get it to work so I told him after 45 minutes move the hell on), and my VSS is not working. To make matters worse, I can't find the damn work order anymore so I can't make em fix it til I find that stupid paper.

If you're talking about that front stereo input on the face of the unit, that's audio only from what I understand of it.

The front input is meant for other brands of MP3 players mainly...You could hook up a game console to the AV inputs (I think the ones behind the deck control the video though).

I did encounter a problem with mine, turns out the stupid accessory plug started coming out...It's a tight fit behind my deck so I must've knocked it loose before, took everything apart a min ago and reinserted the plug, then carefully reinserted the deck...So far so good.

You were supposed to move the mute wire up on the harness...Also the parking brake wire should not be connected to the metra harness, it should be going straight to ground. Reread all the bypass threads.

You need both it looks like, the first link is a wiring harness to hook up to your factory connections (to retain the plugs so you can return it to stock if needed) and the second one is for the steering wheel controls.

The Pioneer model does have some parking assist thing so the box is probably the processor.

The place is right around from where I live so I could probably get a ride back...I installed an XM tuner after they did the work but I didn't touch any of their connections, just plugged in the IP-BUS data cable and tapped the cig lighter's 12v power.

Double checked that wire and it's a pale color with a black stripe...There is a darker green with white stripe in the harness but I'm having difficulty finding where they routed that pink wire, I think they came out just beneath the brake master cylinder and there's multiple harnesses running through that area. It doesn't seem like they hooked it up at all, there's no pink wire other than a little bit sticking out from a duct-taped section of the pale yellow/black stripe wire that was probably cut. Removed attachment...

Yep, it's a 1500 w/ the 5.3 LY5, non-Bose or factory XM but has Onstar.

You can get SR11s for half that on Ebay all day long.

Just rechecked that wire, and it's actually pink. Looked red when I was working under there. I found a splice in the front bay to a pale yellowish wire with a black stripe, but it looks like they had just cut the wire in half then crimped in a cap but there's only one wire in it.

Well you'd think they'd tap something INSIDE the damn cab. I like to go out mudding so now I gotta silicone that hole and hope they didn't make any more behind the dash. Not sure if the whole length of wire was red though, they may've just gotten a random speaker wire to run back to the cab....Definitely will NOT be taking my truck to that installer anymore.

Yeah, why can't you be closer to Orlando? Haha, I was considering it but it'd be like tank and a half of gas to get there and back and that's expensive considering a 26 gallon tank. Got any accessories lined up for an 07 NBS Silverado though?

No, I assume it's a proprietary data cable which uses a digital signal. Otherwise there'd have been articles about splicing it already.

It's a chevy actually, 2007 Silverado. It's a red wire and they tapped something in the harness coming out of the fusebox all the way in front of the engine bay.

They did poke a hole in my firewall and has one wire going through it, so if it ain't connected right then all they've done is basically fucked my truck up.

I guess the stupid BB guys didn't hook up my wire cause that's what mine says all the time and the speed pulse always says 0.
