I feel your pain, I am having the same issue. It is really driving me crazy and I am almost at the point of returning my z140.

Ok so I got the HD radio and the Analog radio to sound good now and way less cut outs on both. I am guessing the antenna cable was a little lose going from the car to the traffic tuner ( solution - electrical tape the hell out of them. ) I am still having (No Data under the traffic menus) I made sure to check the black connector going from the traffic receiver to the radio and everything looks good. I drove from my house to downtown Chicago (20 miles total) to see if it picked up anything after taping the cable down and no cigar. anyone one else have any thoughts. Do I need to register for

Hey Everyone, I have been reading around the forum and I am yet to find what I am looking for. My issue is this I just finished installing a z140bh in my 04 g35 and I am having a lot of issues with radio signal strength. I do get radio and HD radio as well but the signal is horrible. As I am driving the signal goes from HD to analog every few seconds. Also I show no traffic data ever. The odd thing is the other day I was driving on the highway and my GPS told me there was traffic ahead. To my shock I decided to check the Traffic on the rout and once more it showed nothing. Thanks, that was the answer I was looking for. Only reason I would rather a SSD then a SD Card I feel would be the read speeds (100MB/s to 500MB/s Vs 10MB) I am not sure if the Avic head units can even remotely manage speeds like this but I thought it would make video a lot less choppy.

Has anyone had any success using a solid state drive in a USB enclosure with there Z140bh, I have been reading around and have not found much information yet on this topic. Thanks for any information

Ok heres my issue Every time I press up up down menu left right... I go into the blue screen. then i click upgrade then SD "format" it goes to about 30% THEN THE RADIO SHUTS OFF... My question is WTF?

So my friend just ordered this one and it has no video playback and he wants to put windows on it. Is there anyway we can get the test files from the F or X series to work on this unit? I think if we did then putting a windows OS would be easy. What do you guys think?

Ok so i am having issues with the park where: Once you see Step 7: Wait till it says restart in the bottom center. I see that just fine. I swap out my SD car with the card that has the test mode files on it. Then i press RESET with a pin Then the unit reboots then I see test mode and a box with a blue loading bar. Now here is the ISSUE Once the bar moves to half way the unit restarts and goes BLACK.... Driving me crazy... p.s i picked: choose update only WITH FORMAT OPTION

Can Anyone help me out, I need to move the Lane Arrows somewhere higher. I cant see them at all when i am on the high way and in 5th gear. " lane arrows [ ^ ][ ^ ][ ^ ] " Thanks.

I just Figured I would Post this, due to the fact that i always see people asking about SD cards. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=3374882 8gb Sd or Micro SD with Adapter for $20 at RADIO SHACK. Figured if you don't want to wait for an online order this is a great deal. pluse if its bad u can just return it instead of shipping it back out and all that crap.

when that green screen pops up look at the upper right there should be an x just click it u should be good to go. and there's no copy's of anything on ur sd or on the unit if u haven't actually done anything, test mode is not an installation just boot files.

man you should make a data.zip and post, that all looks great. now i am looking like crazy trying to learn to code new buttons but i suck at coding........ ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I Think as you can tell this radio gets a good reputation here and a lot of people tend to like it a lot, in my point of view out of all...... the things this radio does "GPS, iPod, DVD, MSN Direct, ect" and preforms to me strongly over ways the one fall back "the start up time is a bit long 20ish seconds" is a bit long but even then that's not to bad. just get in the car sit down turn key forwarded, and by the time you turn around the get your seat belt and click it on and you have your self set, the radio is pretty much started up. As for Mod's truly if you did not know about Avic411.com

If you Like to MOD, Then 100% yes

As of now yes that is the one way that works 100%, "using the TOM TOM map on leet launcher", I also had it working on iGo right off of the Avic but it is not working 100%

This launcher and Mod is only for the f series, "that I know of" But I have looked around and a lot of the other series have launchers as well, Even the S1 and S2 "Hand held AVIC GPS" have launchers for Mio.

Yup for a dream its okay, but i would rather see this really happen, and with the crazy people on this forum I reallt this is can happen...

Is there any way to replace all of the Avic iGO files with the iGO8 files, so that we would not need to have the SD card running with the AVIC Launcher.... "not that I dont like the Launcher" The Dream: replace all iGO files change some code press map on the unit BAM... iGO8 Let me know your ideas...

LOL Nice. I am happy it worked out for you "Stupid Yes No Option". Hopefully this mod and the Changing of the icons will be included in the new Avic Launcher.
