  1. Pioneer laid off another 25% percent of its workforce today. Don't hold your breath
  2. Think of the Z1/2/3 as a ten year old computer, it just doesn't work well with newer technology/accessories. *The Z110 has an ipod interface so much better and faster than the Z1/2/3, as well as album covers and the ability to play movies from ipods, that you wouldn't ever need that hard drive you burned your CDs to before. *It also has a bluetooth chipset and software about 5 years newer than the one with the Z1/2/3 which means it not only works with thousands more phones, but it also sounds better and has more bluetooth profiles including the ability to stream music. *It accepts US
  3. That would be an interesting turn of events. All of us still using the navtraffic XM tuner already have the hardware for navteq traffic in our cars, but they took the damn data cable connection off the Z-series that would enable it work. Doh!
  4. They are the same company. They sell a number of brands of kits, harnesses, cable, sound deadening, install accessories, etc under different brand names
  5. I agree, thats the one thing I miss about my F-series. Seems like they need to hire more talented programmers that can figure out how to make it happen on the Z. The phone number lookup and branded POI icons they had about five years ago would be a nice touch too. (Gas mileage and an alert when I accelerate quickly...not so much!)
  6. Looks like its the Z120 and X920, not 9120. Wish they would've spent more time improving the nav instead of cluttering it up more with the fuel economy thingy
  7. If I remember correctly, you should be able to run optical from the DVD to the DEQP8000, but you'll still have to run RCAs to the Z110 for the analog sources. And you'll need the AXMP8000 to control it all
  8. Go to the Teleatlas website and see if it is correct there. If it isn't, use their error reporting system so they get it right on the next version
  9. What are you connecting the green parking brake wire to in the vehicles?
  10. I've installed the 20PA, but never used it at night so I can't comment on if its any better than other cameras. Its pretty cool because you can mount it off-center of the back of the car and it corrects for that. It also does a pretty sweet overhead view which would be great if you are hooking up a hitch or parking in extremely tight areas alot. The only drawback is that the DSP adds some pixelization to the picture quality. So if you don't care about the parking lines and different views, the NDBC1 or 2 will look better on-screen
  11. The power plugs are different, so you will have to splice in the one it comes with. You shouldn't have any problems putting the antennas next to eachother
  12. Ya, I think its probably an easy fix. Hopefully the local dudes get through to someone that gives a crap and can add it to the next firmware update. Seems silly that it happens in their employees cars and they don't fix it
  13. I'm in CA, car parked in a garage at night so I doubt temps get below 40-50 in the garage/car/glovebox
  14. Something tells me that Pioneer's legal team shot this down in the US.
  15. Unless you are a baseball fan because its not available on Sirius. Or if you are a Stern fan and don't want to pay $20/month for him on XM instead of $13/month for him on Sirius
  16. I've had both. Sirius sounded better in my car. Display is much nicer on XM. About 2/3 of the stations overlap now that the companies have merged so it really depends if you are looking for something in particular like Stern (sirius) or baseball (xm) or if you are looking for something else in particular and don't want to pay for one of the 'best of' packages
  17. No, the info shown on the screen is exactly the same as the ancient sirius tuners. Only way to get artist and song title is to get the XM tuner activated and add the best of sirius. Unfortunately, you're up to almost $20 a month that way
  18. Not my toe thank god. I would imagine that tattoo hurt like crazy though
  19. Z110 = pass thru. No splitter required F9xxx-series = no pass through. Splitter required Refer to the installation manual if you would like pictures. Antenna goes from the car, into the MSN tuner, out of the MSN tuner, into the HD tuner and ends there. AM/FM with be greyed out in your source menu, you will use the HD tuner for all tuning
  20. It doesn't work. Didn't work on last years F-series either
  21. The F-series needs a splitter because the MSN is built-in. The Z will grey out the AM/FM buttons when you plug in the HD tuner but has a pass through so you do not need a splitter.
