  1. What is your source? I'm assuming CD's? I don't think the analog pre-out section of the f90 is bad at all, but the DAC is horrible. Audio from my iphone 3gs sounds noticeably better through it's line-out than comparatively from an uncompressed audio disc. I'm runing a 10w7 h.o. and premier prs comps @ 150 wpc.
  2. Oooh ok nevermind. I'm sorry, i thought you meant only when it was stationary. Are you getting solid locks on your satellites?
  3. That's not really a problem--just how the unit operates. I'm assuming your maps are on the new 2d mode when this occurs, correct? Also, note that the 900/90 have gyros and optional speed sensors whereas the 700 does not.
  4. i deleted those files also, before loading the x910 flash disk. I had to do it twice because the system will recreate some of them after the first delete. Don't know if that will make a difference...this was on an f90bt, btw.
  5. @ pwnin o'brien: After doing the steps in this guide, ive updated to 3.010100 using the instructions from pioneers website, just as a normal x-series user would. Note that during the update i chose the wince format option, and also i deleted the whole flash disk before copying the 3.0 image over. Hope this helps...
  6. Thanks...will seed for about a week
  7. nevermind...my phone now replaces my ipod, and the phone obviously pauses the music itself during a call
  8. Anyone notice 2.006 pauses ipod music upon incoming and outgoing calls? My f90 does with my iphone 3gs!!!
  9. Anyone notice 2.006 pauses ipod music upon incoming and outgoing calls? My f90 does with my iphone 3gs!!!
  10. Mine works normally. What exactly do you mean by slow start-up. It takes my 3gs about a second..my 5th gen ipod as also like that, however
  11. It will work fully, control/video/audio/album art...charging will work if its below around 80%. If its above, you'll get a message stating it will not support charging. But everything else will continue to work during this period. and it will at least keep it at 80% charge. Also, when the battery is low, and charging does occur, it is slower than a normal charge from a computer or wall socket.
  12. My 32gb 3gs (and another 32gb 3gs, my dad's) both work perfectly with my f90 using the pioneer cd-iu230v cable that it shipped with. Video, audio, charging and bluetooth all work consistently thus far
  13. Both me and my dad's 32gb 3gs (one white, one black) both consistently charge, and play video with my f90bt. I'm using the pioneer cd-iu230v cable that came in the box. Never had any connection issues whatsoever thus far. I wonder if the charging has do do with the cables themselves, the 3gs's (16gb vs 32 gb, etc), or the f90 itself. Maybe older ones or newer ones have different firmware revisions on certain devices that deal with the usb charging/transfers? I guess I must consider myself lucky!

  15. Try changing your region to austrailia, then go through all of your contacts (on the phone) and make sure that thee are no special characters other than letters, numbers and spaces. If needed, edit the numbers (on the phone again) such that they are in the format '1234567890' exactly. Changing the region doesn't automatically cause the format to change, it just allows it to be changed. Then, re-transfer your phone book from the iphone to the avic. That should do it...good luck
  16. My voice dial by name always worked--but your fix also allows caller-id to show the name on the navi when receiving incoming calls...i was hoping for an easier solution instead of digging in the f-series database with sqlite...thanks alot!
  17. For all you iPhone users out there, simply go to Settings > General > International > Region Format, and change it to Austrailia. This will allow you to edit the numbers on your iPhone such that they do not have to have the +1's or parentheses. After I changed my region format, removed all special characters, and edited the numbers in my phone to 123456789 format, i re-transferred my phonebook to the f90 and all is well. Voice dialing and caller-id is flawless! Probs to vdubu for the tip/fix!
  18. Ordered my f90bt for $616 shipped. I feel relieved now. The only thing different that I'd actually use on the 9140 is the voice command for nav, and thats not worth an extra $1000.
  19. Finally ordered my f90! $616 from amazon (through 6th ave.)

  21. Excellent....glad you decided to listen to each set before you purchased. You know best what your ears like. You must prefer a brighter sound than i do
  22. Hmmm now I'm stuck between the 9140 and the f90...mainly because the f90 is only around $699 @ some authorized dealers....but this 9140 sounds unbelievable....and it will have mobile dtv capability in 2010. Decisions, decisions
