  1. I too was quite happy with the 2.0 version. I updated and now I have a couple of problems sometimes. When the system starts the screen goes black on start up, this happens about two times a week. I noticed if I stop put the vehicle in reverse to make the camera come on, and then back to drive or park then the screen will come back on, but it is in the navi. settings screen and takes about five minutes before anything works, even the clock will be wrong for a while. Couple other things are that it seems like the phone connection time and the Ipod on time from start up is a little longer now, b
  2. I just had a problem with the right channel using my Ipod too, no sound or poor quality sound. My problem was definately the Pioneer Ipod cable. From what I understand their cables are not the best. I went to the apple store in the mall and bought their cable, works great now. The apple cable ends are much heavier than Pioneer's.
  3. The Best Buy in Madison, WI has a closeout tag on the f900, with a price of $855. if I remember right.
  4. Hey, I have a 2003 silverado and they told me it would not fit, then they said I had to remove some brackets to make it fit, but mine went right in with no modifications at all, looks like it came from the factory to tell you the truth, couldn't be happier. I do think that 2003 was the year of a newer body style though, which could of had a different dash/radio setup than your 2002, but I doubt it would be that diferent. I would go for it.
  5. It has been well below zero here in Wisconsin, and no problems at all.
  6. I was having lots of problems with the VR on my newly installed F900. I have a Motorola Razor. What I had to do was to remove the hyphens from the numbers in my contacts, change all the numbers to the same format like area code then the number, I also changed all of my contacts to the category "general" instead of "work" or "mobile" etc. By doing this all of the contacts show up on the F900 as just the name, and not the category. I made sure I did not have any other symbols like "&" in any of the contacts. One last thing I did was to put all of the names in the first name spot of the con
  7. I had the same exact problem last weekend when I installed mine. Turns out that I was on the wrong input wire. I checked the website, which was really nice, and found out I tapped into the wrong wire. Just saying, maybe double check again. good luck.
  8. Are you sure that your battery and or connections are OK? I work on cars for a living, and the starter motor takes a lot of power from the battery on start up, especially in the winter. If your battery is not up to snuff, there will be a moment of low voltage to anything that has power going to it. The voltage to the f90 may drop to a level low enough to make it think that the power has been disconnected to it. Just a thought hope this helps.
