I just deleted them... of coarse after backing them up, and it works fine. No wasted time opening a blank file. Super Fast!!

Some people have inserted blank .wav files to speed up the playing and mute them, well I just deleted them and man is it fast, and I have no more annoying beeps in the unit. the iGo software still beeps, but thats it. Thing jumps between pages now!!!

Maybe I'M AN IDIOT, BUT AFTER I Did the firmware update months ago my TTS ie Samantha is no longer an option. does anyone know how to restore this through test mode? can someone send me the right files to do this?

bump Im having the same issue still. New release hasnt resolved anything and Pioneer wants me to send the unit in. This is TOTAL crap!! Unacceptable, considering that we essentially BETA tested these units. I need help. any suggestions on how to restore this?

sometimes those adapters can be a bit finicky. Id bet the unit doesnt even recognize the card after it boots up.

Not true. Thats what is on spec, however I have 3D landmarks on my 700. Its really cool driving through manhattan and seeing the Empire State Building and MSG on the map!

They also fixed the glitch when searching for POI's near the cursor or location when the system would run out of memory.... SWEET!! However What irks me is that when you put your iPod into shuffle mode you have to navigate away from the now playing screen, and hit the mode button several times before it changes back to shuffle off. I also lost my TTS too!!!

Installed and been playing with it for a bit now. Still having same issues as everyone else, except that now my TTS is GONE!!!! WTF!!! All I have as language options are the male non-TTS voices!!! Anyone Care to comment?

Well I have a 700, so Yeah it means good news for me. These usits are all so similar, except for a DVD drive and MSN Direct I would expect that they would prepare to roll out this update for all F units at the same time.

I think this is good news. This should mean that the patch is almost ready for release. Or at least we know it will be released by 8-2

really check the wire harnesses. They take a good ammounbt of force to put in, and may look installed, but not. 10 to 1 thats it

Spoke to them at pioneer yesterday, as for the issue of not getting it from an authorized dealer... It dosent matter. I blatently told them I got it at a discount online and if this was going to be a problem to just register it as a gift. They were totally cool with that.

Exactly, Some issues. The more we speak up the more they will be aware of all issues. As a manufacturing firm the last thing you want to do is make several system fix's. Not only is it bad bad press, but it costs the company. So if we voice all of our issues to them NOW they will be resolved in the first and what may be the only firmware update. Don't be passive about this, we all just dropped upwards of 1G on these units. Lets take an active stance as a team and work with Pioneer to make these the best things on the market!!!

Nobody has yet made a post encouraging everyone with issues to call Pioneer Directly. They have a California based navigation technical support team that is rather friendly. I have spoken with them about my issues, and they are supposedly working on something, but I think it would be a good idea to ask everyone to do the same. The more voices we are the louder we speak as a consumer group and the more fully they will address our problems.
