anyone have any experience with this backup cam? got one thrown in as part of an order and im curious as to the quality...

I just ordered almost the same setup from Crutchfield and they also threw in a backup cam... dont know how good it is but hey...they were also really helpful with customer service and such

wow... its just something my wife says when i do something thats boneheaded... lets say I go to take the garbage out but instead of putting the cans out on the curb normally i attempt to take a shortcut to pull them across the lawn to save maybe 2 minutes and end up spewing garbage all over the lawn... i hear my wife "your so fired"

holy crap this makes it look easy......wanting to replace my D1 with one of these...

alright now im confused... i have a D1 in my 06 VW now... lets say i remove it, and assume i've never seen any of the crap that sits in that hole in the dash... i've read that all i need to do is cut the connector off of the harness that went into the D1 and mach up the wires to the harness that goes into the D3 (please correct me if im wrong) so i guess im unsure how the carp fits into the mix... thanks for any help you guys can provide... anyone live in the california bay area care to install into an 06 vw GLI ? lol there'll be a twelver in it for ya or know of a good install p

Great! another question answered with a little bit of searching... not that i doubt you but has anyone confirmed this? i would hate to have to open up the dash again and replace the mute wire and re-bypass

If im thinking of the correct mesage, if you have a route set in the navi i beleive this message wont show up...

may be different but if you hold the screen button on mine the screen turns off but everything still functions

press and hold SRC and it will turn off. The unit doesnt have an off switch so it was installed to take power when the key is in ACC or the engine is running. If its wired to have continuous power i dunno what to do. but i know the src button will turn off the audio source

i may have to play with some of the gray colors though... its a work in progress.
