  1. Strange... I did not have to setup a com... I've had to re-do mine twice. (System reset kills contacts and BT device list.) Maybe that's what you'll have to do. Try, try, try again...
  2. THANK YOU, TEREL!!!!!!!!! WE'RE GLAD YOU LIKE IT!!! (Quit yellin', sheeeez...) p.s. Yeah, I'd do it again, too...
  3. I SECOND that one!! At least make the sensitivity ADJUSTABLE... sheees!
  4. Serial port has to be enabled on the BJII. Check Settings, Connections, Bluetooth, Bluetooth (again), Pioneer Navi, (next), make sure Serial Port is checked... Now, try again...
  5. You tap the fields that you want to fill in. If you tap street before city, it assumes that you are searching the current city, or the city you are in now...
  6. Yeah I did that once too... You've got a "data" FOLDER in data.zip with everything in the folder... (WRONG) You have to highlight everything IN the folder, right click it, and hit send to, compressed folder. Rename the resultant .zip file to data.zip
  7. Sometimes, mine forgets that I told it to play random.
  8. F-series model: 700BT Phone make/model: Samsung i617 (BlackJackII) Ease of connection: Perfect Phonebook transfer: Fine, once I enabled serial port service. Sound quality: Not bad, has a little static. Comments: The microphone could be a little more sensitive...I have to speak pretty loudly so some people can hear me.
  9. ok... Got it. I can change the car3d.bmp to anything I want now that I know it works... THANK YOU STEPH!!
  10. I should clarify... I don't have a "navigatemap_800_480.ui" in the "data.zip\ui_pioneer\800_480\" folder it IS in the "data.zip\ui_pioneer\800_480\ui" folder... The same with ..\common It has to go in \common\ui Not the same with yours?
  11. navigatemap.ui files are in the separate "ui" folder, correct?
  12. I'd be happy if I could just resize the big sum-bitch.
  13. There's a LOT of info on these pages...read it carefully. Understand what you are doing... Be careful about editing files on the unit's Flash Disk. Ensure you make backups of everything before you change anything... Happy Modding!
  14. My ADATA 2Gig MicroSD with adapter works perfectly for updates and mp3's. Video is a little jittery, but watchable. My 60Gig WD Passport USB drive will not work. I've been "eyeing" the little 5V hole for an AC adapter... ... I already have a inverter I can run, if I have to. (Lots of good stuff on that drive... ) My generic USB thumbdrive is too slow for video... My Kingston drive plays sound, but no video. I think I'll be trying some other files of a different codec...It may work.
  15. hmmm... Don't know what was happening, but boxes are gone now, THANKS! To ALL of you!
  16. Ummm ok... I'll be trying Option 1 But really...I tried several things last night. Ended up having to revert back to the original...twice. After copying the data (no ".zip") and rebooting, how long should it take the thing to finish loading? After three minutes, I was still looking at a "Please wait" message... Am I forgetting something? I shouldn't have to "reset" or anything, right? @ski: THANKS!
  17. If he hooks it to power per the instructions, the brake light will stay on.
  18. I think I remember someone got mad about their system doing the same thing and threw the phone in the back seat...and it connected and STAYED connected... Maybe they are overpowering each other by being too close together...?? Give it a shot, see what happens...
  19. I got a kit from a local shop for $20 Just tell 'em you need an install kit for your car.
  20. Rats! I was hoping for a more stealthy install of the mic...
  21. Is it true that some cards are faster than others?
