  1. Nice... perfectly happy with stock S4 19s so far, but a Stasis chip is in the plans.
  2. By the look of the file size, they are all pretty low-resolurtion, so you probably would not see much difference either way. The one I was using was about 254MB or so.
  3. You don't _need_ any DEM files. If you live in a particularly hilly area, larger DEM files will give you more 3D landscape look. Will use up more memory, too.
  4. Oh, right, an A4. Those 2.0T's are fun. I used to have a chipped TT with 1.8 and that was fast...
  5. 2011, so it's a B8. I though B7 was the one with a normal V8, wasn't it? After our blizzard not even Audis can get through anyway...
  6. That's... highly questionable
  7. S4 with all the trimmings Yeah... I thought Russian roads were bad... but they are lightyears ahead of what we got in Chicago...
  8. 's what highways are for Driving faster than 10mph on Chicago streets is a sure way to lose a wheel in a pothole. And a supercharged V6 makes going over 10 far too easy... But yeah, new Navigation Plus can actually be cotrolled with voice (and it works, too), reads addresses from the phone, and outputting directions both to the screen and to the instrument cluster is nice, too. I still miss camera warnings, though.
  9. Thanks! It was time to get something significantly faster. And the built-in Navi is surprisingly decent.
  10. Just got a different one
  11. It most likely means that the camera is powered by the reverse light, so when you simply switch the head unit to camera's input, it still is not getting nay power. Hence no picture. Connect the camera correctly, and it should not be an issue.
  12. Wooo, did you burn yourself on McD's griddle? Poor baby!
  13. That was impressive... That job fliping burgers must keep him really busy.
  14. Landscape data files. THat's what lets iGO show all the nice mountains and valleys when you're driving around. Unless you live in the Rockies, though, you won't see all that much with or without them...
  15. try the new link: http://www.4shared.com/file/s50Y-NX9/data.html Looks like 4Shared changed link format.
  16. Depending on version of WinZIP, you might need to set the compression level/method to match the original file. In any case, I would just use a better tool, but technically, WInZIP works as well.
  17. 'Zactly. RES files are actually compressed with 7Zip's own compression. Skin file uses standard ZIP compression. As long as the directory structure is mainained, I've had no problems using WinZIP. But either WinRAR or 7ZIP are better becasue they maintain structure automatically.
  18. It works just fine, actually. You just have to be careful, since unlike other archivers it is rather brain-dead about preserving the directory structure when you edit a file directly from the archive.
  19. Thanks. I'll be riding around. Now, to put a performance chip in it...
  20. Answering the exact same question gets rather old after a few dozen repetitions, particularly when it is in the manual, if anybody ever bothered to actually read it.
  21. Have you tried readingb the manual? Actually, any search in the forum would have given you the answer, too...
  22. Reading the manual and using a correct cable might help.
  23. Ouch. This was a year-old thread...
  24. Not really sure about the X series either, as far as Bluetooth goes. Of course when Pioneer released AVIC, they could not have possibly known that Microsoft will kill off MSN service. It's not like they were the only ones to use MSN Traffic either. If/when MSN works, it is better than RDS-TMC that most others use (I have a Navigon hand-held with TMC). The problem with having an add-on tuner is that AVIC has no provisions for external data input. iGO itself will process TMC data quite happily (and indeed, that's what the European versions of AVIC do, running the same software), but the radio tu
