  1. For me TC works when I fire up the Unit and wait until it is completely booted and BT is connected before I hit the OK button and start moving. There are 2 things I would try if I had the capability: 1) Delay loading of the TC for 2 Mins/ create a button to load it manually once everything is up and running. 2) Look into the VSS wire. It seem that the unit computes the speed wire input before it has a stable sattelite fix, which leads to the TC not working. Jörg
  2. As the Unit came with 3.0 it must be brand new. I would contact the dealer before I go down any other route. If the SD drive does not recognise a FAT 32 SD it may be faulty and your whole unit subject to exchange. Did you really try to reformat the SD completely? How big is it? I think only SD's up to 8GB are guaranteed to work with the AVIC. As said before: Reformat and put some MP3's on there. If that doesn't work: See your dealer! It doesn't make any sense to fxxk around with a brand new faulty unit and risk the warranty. Jörg
  3. Hey IDT, asked a few weeks ago if it would be possible to get rid of the caller ID window which blocks the unit during a call. Did you have a chance to think about that? With your 4.9 and a Heat Cap to avoid reboot on cranking ( I have both installed) it would make the unit nearly perfect. Thanks Jörg
  4. The best solution would be to get rid of the caller ID Pop up, so the unit remains operational during the call. Anybody got an Idea? Jörg
  5. It would still be very interesting to know the exact functions of these parameters without running 20 times to the car to find out by trial and error. .....If somebody could please. Thank you Jörg
  6. How u got the value of 5 seconds of buffering? Did you test it? If i take that capacitor (0,068 F) with an AVIC of 2A and 14,4 V in a car and use C = I * t / V solved to t, then the capacitor buffers just 0,5 seconds... I have it installed and tested: When I pull out the key the Avic stays on for 5-7 seconds no matter which audio scource is running. Jörg
  7. Had the same problem with my '08 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 crdi AWD and found the following off the shelf solution: http://www.medienelektronik.de/Artikel/ ... tronik.htm Should work as plug and play for most cars in Europe with ISO style harness, for the Pioneer you just need one additional Diode in the yellow cable and you are fine. Buffers 5-6 secs, so long enough for cranking. The implied electronic circuit prevent the dangers usually involved with Caps Any questions let me know Jörg
  8. I see what you mean by the TMC button on the v2.0 file. I have no way of testing this to make sure the change I make will work, on my next update I'll see to get this changed for you to test. I'll also at that point look at the speed limit thing. Now to answer when the update will be, not sure.. back to working on my Flight Sim panels for a bit cause I"m burned out on the avic stuff. I can understand that, feel the same by just browsing the forum and picking the cherrys (I'm just a user and have no clue about coding). That's the reason to use with your mod, it's nice and clean and mak
  9. Just bear in mind we count in kilometers in Europe, speedlimits of 120 or 130 are quite common The TMC button PLEASE!!!!! Jörg
  10. Hi David, just back from my first testdrive, everything works like a charm, the look is just great. Some suggestions: In you mod for the 2.0 version itwas possible to access TMC directly by pressing the small symbol next to current street in the bottom left corner. Is it a great deal to get that in this Version as well? The Speedlimit is not able to show Limits above 99 correctly, as soon as you have 3 digits they go over the Border of the sign What I also liked in other Mods and what would in my opinion your Mod perfect are 2 things: 1) Multiroute and Multidraw 2) Settin
  11. House numbers are in the map, if the map is correct, house numbers are as well. In my village only a few streets have correct housenumbers, mostly on main streets, in the side streets they are off by 2 or 3 numbers. This is because the Map producers do not scan every single house in side streets, but rely on information from local authorities and a kind of educated "gestimation". As long as they are on the correct side this has nothing to do with the mod. Jörg
  12. Hi, like your mod for the clean "stock like " look. Unfortunately i felt like downgrading after having used other mods. A few questions: 1) How do I switch between 2D and 3D? Can't find it 2) How to disable signposts? 3) How to access TMC from Nav screen? Thanks Jörg
  13. There is a software hack, just use the search function. For me it just worked to connect the handbrake wire to a 12v positive, so the Pioneer thinks the handbrake is always on. Jörg
  14. It must have to do with 3.0003, which is a hacked version. I'm running the stock 3.002 (the original update with the maps) and had no problems with IDT's mod. 3.0003 was never officially released as far as i know. Try upgrading to 3.1 Good Luck Jörg
  15. Did somebody in Europe try this thing out? Looks great, but from the screenshots it looks to me as there is no TMC Can somebody confirm one way or the other? Thanks Jörg
  16. For 1) check your handbrake wire, it propably lost connection. for2) Copy the hacked ezrider and license file again, you propably overwrote them with the update. let us know if that works Jörg
  17. Are you using IDT'S European Version? If the Device is not set to 746EW in SYS.TXT it will not receive TMC data. Good Luck Jörg
  18. Hi David, glad you are back! 2 Questions regarding your Mod: 1) I'm in Europe and your schemes do not support TMC coloring, can just I use the default or own schemes? I'm aware that I have to edit SYS.TXT and may not get the nice Sky views you have. 2) When I use my old (but already 3.0) schemes should I leave the gfx folder and just replace SYS.TXT and Data.zip? Thanks and have a nice holiday, I'm jealous as fall is coming quickly over here Jörg
  19. There are tools (i.e. Outloo2tomtom) written for TOMTOm devices which will pull the exported Outlook data in a .CSV file and automatically attach the coordinates to finally create a .OVi file for TomTom. As Navgate Feed is pretty much useless ( all stock Pioneer software is ), I was wondering if somebody had the same desire than myself, but also some programming skills Jörg
  20. For all4 yes, although I feel BT is not that reliable in 3.0, 2 out of 10 calls crash. Try to delete your phone and phonebook and reregister, that helped me a lot. I use legit 3.0 with hacked EZrider and worldwide license plus some mods All the best Jörg
  21. I have attached a sample of a .kml file. Thanks Jörg POI.rar
  22. Hi Guys, as Navigation and contacts are not talking to each other in our Avics (and only names and numbers are beeing synced, I'm looking for an application or solution to convert my outlook adress book into a usable .kml file. I know this can be done manually through Navgate feeds, but to be honest, I don't want to spend a week with this. Any ideas let me know Jörg
  23. But the password is just generated with the serial number of the unit (no ref to the SD card), hence when the system accepts the SD card (this is forced by removing device.nng) it should work. Let us know! Jörg
  24. Hey IDT, just coming back on the reboot: I was wrong blaming it to wrong settings of the latitude/Longitude setting, was propably a coincidence. It seems to come from the spoken speedcam alert for a certain type of mobile cam. (100km) When you disable spoken warning, no reboot, even when you enable audible warning: No reboot. Unfortunately the audible warning setting is not beeing saved and has to be set manually upon every restart of the system. One more thing on the Speedcams: It seems to me that you are not able to set the direction correctly. I had one red light cam added manua
  25. I think it is in SYS.TXT [warning] approach_beep_distances=8,16,24 warn_distances=60:500,40:300 ;(110:1000, 80:800, 60:500, 40:300) just play around with the values and set them to the Limits used in your country Haven't tested myself Jörg
