  1. My analogy/quote would be: "I see you're using your F90BT as a doorstop because you messed with the software without reading the AVIC411 forums and thus bricked it."
  2. I'm using the SWI-PS in my 08 F150 with the F90BT. It's made by a company called PAC. Look on Crutchfield or eBay, and I'm guessing but not positive most car audio installers will carry it as well.
  3. There is also one instance of this function in DATA/ui_pioneer/800_480/ui/scripts_800_480.ui Also, it appears that people might be adding the code for the satellite strength info button and then immediately removing it when adding the route info upgrade, since your instructions say to completely replace the RouteInfoBackground function and the replacement doesn't include it. I suggest swapping these two posts, and having the satellite button addition after the RouteInfoBackground replacement. [Nevermind, it looks like it's built into the RouteInfoBackground function as well. Might want to
  4. Well, I found a file called 'favorites.dat' in \USER\UserData\iGo\save. I opened it with notepad and found that it lists each of the favorites, but only that. No information about the locations of these favorites, nor any link to a database containing locations. I'm assuming that by deleting any of these names it will eliminate it from the favorites listing, but I will keep a backup just in case. I will keep looking around for a file that has the location information, there has to be something somewhere.
  5. I can't believe that: a) This isn't built-in somewhere, and More people aren't complaining about it. I'll take a look around the software.
  6. You have, but you hadn't?
  7. Yep, applied as laid out above and it works as described. Great job to whoever put this code together, one more piece in the puzzle that is making this a stellar DVD/Nav unit.
  8. Another grateful user confirming that this software bypass does indeed work. To all newcomers, I highly suggest reading through this entire thread before posting that it doesn't work and/or asking why it didn't for you. (Too bad they won't read this unless they read everything, stupid catch 22.) To the OP: please edit your post and add that for this to work, you must also have the parking brake line grounded out. That threw me for a bit, until I read a few more pages. Oh, and thanks!
  9. I haven't applied the change yet, so I can't say this will work, but drawing on my limited knowledge of coding in other languages my guess would be: Find the line "" in your existing 'navigatemap_800_480.ui' file. Replace that line with the supplied fix listed above. The ';' at the beginning will "comment out" that first line of code. "Commenting out" means that the program won't use any code with a semicolon at the beginning of the line, the semicolon effectively makes that line invisible and unused. This way, the new code will be used in place of the old. Anyone who thinks/knows
