  1. I'm pretty sure that you cannot change the color on the 500BTs.
  2. You seem to have an issue with your unit. But usually after you switch to TTS (Samantha), you need to turn the car off then back on for it to work.
  3. With the Avic Feeds program off of Pioneer's website you can easily change the splash screen to what ever you want. Plus you can add custom POIs and icons as well. Go to their website and type "feeds" into the search and it comes up.
  4. I don't believe there is a kit for it but it will fit. You will need to modify the the opening a bit and use some sort of brackets to hold it in. Use the black trim piece that comes with the unit to hide everything.
  5. I don't have an iphone but several people say theirs works ok. You might just have to change some settings in your phone. But from what I understand is that everything should work ok. Even playing videos from the phone. Can someone with an iphone help out here?
  6. I have a Pioneer AVH-P4900DVD with a Planet Audio video amplifier in my Chrysler that has four headrest monitors. Works really well and I think I got if for $20 or so.
  7. Do you really even need to drill a hole? What kind of car do you have? Can't you just drop the glove box, run the cable over and close the glove box? Or are you actually wanting the cable to come out of the glove box when it's closed?
  8. Yes, you can reuse the GPS antenna but you need to change the connector that plugs into the unit. In other words take the connector off the one you have now and put the connector that comes with the new unit on. Plug in, and you're good to go.
  9. Pioneer wasn't even at SEMA where they? So how could that guy have "talked to the higher ups." Geez, some people's kids.......
  10. Can you exchange it for another 900BT? Maybe you just got a bad unit. My 900BT works great.
  11. paulc, 1) I beleive the harness is a bit different so I would just use the new one. 2) You can have both ipod and a nother video source connected. If you use Y-adapters on the audio and video inputs it works just fine. So when you want to listen to ipod you need to select ipod on av1 in the settings. When you want to watch a video, you switch to video in the settings. You just can't do both at the same time. 3) For me, using a splitter works better. No issues with MSN Direct or HD. Couldn't tell you about any difference in brands. 4)Yes
  12. Mr. WOMO is now my new hero..... It's about time someone finally said something....
  13. I was happy with my 900BT pre 2.0 also. But after the update I like it even more. I'm not having any dropped iPod issues like some people say they are, and Bluetooth works great. Voice recognition works great on both iPod and Bluetooth. And for the price you can get them at now....come on.....
  14. F-series model: F900BT Phone make/model: Alltel LG Rumor Ease of connection: No problems Phone book transfer: 170 contacts transfered no problem Sound quality: Great on my end, every now and then the other person says I sound a tad muffled but can still understand me easily Comments : Have to answer calls from the phone, cannot answer from unit. Incoming calls do not show caller ID. But have learned that both of these problems are a phone issue as other phones work great.
