  1. Before? Clicking the black bars got me back to the app radio app menu but now the clicks wont register when pionted there. They register, as a click on the phone screen instead, even clicking at the very furthest side of the screen.
  2. Nice calibration work! However, the tiny backs to get back to appradio doesnt register, they now register as clicks on the phone instead. Have to kill app to get back...
  3. I hope the scrolling sensitivity can be adjusted with some clever algorithm, it feels a bit weird swiping the finger 2 inches on the radio and getting a tiny little scroll as a result. Maybe because the phone have a much higher pixel density; scrolling the app radio display generating maybe much less actual pixels to move finger across. I also found another phenomenon: "iOS overlay buttons" and gestures will not register. For example in Safari, getting in and out of full screen. Its not a fixed button, its a floating transparent button. The click on the radio will not register on the phone
  4. Great work Mike, nice update! What a huge difference the screen calibration made! Messages, at least on my iPhone 5, works fine and landscapes, but not Mail? Only checked those two native apps while driving, will check more during lunch here.
  5. Awsome, Mike! A few questions: I was just in the car giving it a 10 minute trial and there was an incomming call. It never routed to the DA100 so I had to unplug and pick up the iPhone (5). Anything you know of? Maybe just a onetime bug How do I get back to the Appradio menu? As you say, tapping outside the display crashes the runnning app, thats ofc one way Tapping hom ebutton on the radio gets me to the main menu, from there clicking "Appradio" throws me back into the currently running app, not the Appradio menu...? Added Spotify, I tried it and it landscapes the app making it very
  6. Anyone tried it..? Should we update? Works the same as 2.1.0 with AppRadio Ext? DisplayOut?
  7. VBLUE42: Just tried App Radio ex for the first time after reading your post. Just been running Display Out before to mirror apps like Navigon that doesnt allow secondary monitor.. Anyway, when installing Appradio Ext, it automatically removes the Display out but when running Appradio Ext, I only get a small mirrored image, nicely displayed center on the DA-100, but it doesnt fill. Otherwise it works fine, Siri works, Apps start fine in landscape etc, but the image is small. Is this normal? Just checking. iPhone 5 6.1.2 + DA-100 latest fw.
  8. Can't wait to use iPhone 5/iOS 6 with the AppRadio2. Getting tired of screen-sharing without touch control on the deck... Btw, using "Display Out" now, this tweak can scale the display output to perfectly fill the AppRadio with no overscan problems at all. Hopefully it can be implemented in the Appradio Ext. as well. Keep up the good work Mike!
  9. 8. The main harness needs to change but it's plug and play thru the ISO-standard. For mic and antenna you can use the old, at least compared to the F900BT. I'm using my old antenna and mic. Works fine.
  10. I will, when everything is restored. I managed to put it in yesterday, trying it out now and just got to wrk after driving half an hour with it. Unfortunately I haven't got the AV-adapter yet, but still can play radio and play with the screen, functions etc. U can never ask too much it seems, today I found out 1. Its a capacitive screen, meaning no gloves while touching. Yes, its cooold season here. 2. It's glossy, oh my it's glossy! Yes ofc I knew, but one never knows what it actually means when installed. Thankfully I have a dark interior so it's ok. Have anyone tried matte screen protector?
  11. Closed doors might be tough. Its extremely tight as of today, need to remove panels in the foot-wells to route the wire harness and add HDMI etc, it's not just plug-and-play, but yes a lot easier to swap rather than doing a first time install. Thinking to put in a hidden switch to activate/deactivate headlight/illum signal so I don't have to dim the unit every time it gets dark (our cars here always running with headlights on). Today, my microphone is integrated in the roof lining (I actually drilled a hole, where its peeking out, black lining make it very stealthy), do I need to change th
  12. Can't ride the Nurburgring Nordschleife with an automatic A lot of love, yes. And a lot of destruction when modifying the dash to fit a 2-din. It was _not_ a pretty sight haha.. but turned out nice. By the looks of it I can use the same leather bezel I made for the F900! Petty this winter is extremely cold, it's 15 degree F here now, not ideal for changing deck...
  13. My setup in my old beater looks like this. The iPhone 5 fits nice in the same location, only thing is when needed to do horizontal, I have to pick it up and manually flip it for a second to make it landscape. Unboxed the DA100 yesterday carefully to check it.. Holding it next to the F900, there is no doubt - it's time to upgrade! Visually, there are only two things; The aluminum decor I would try and darken a bit, and the white illumination is going to look weird in my car, would like to film it orange in some way. I'm anal. Yes.
  14. Awesome, thanks a bunch! Everything looks totally fine If I was to install a new deck, based on not having a screen before, I would without any doubt put in an AppRadio. Total mirroring with unsupported apps control would of course be epic on the 5, but I guess it's ok to use the phone too (if installed neatly in the car). I still find it real hard deciding if I should throw it in, or return it. It's not the money (probably will make a profit, selling the F900), it's the "accessibility", that the phone "needs" to be wired in order to have the maps and so on. Maybe its just a matter of g
  15. Sweet The return policy is due on tuesday. My F900 still is a very nice machine, its free from the ugly graphics (slightly modded) and has an ok user interface. Im just a bit skeptic to change since the iPhone 5 is kind of semi-supported. The native iPod functionality.. I've got it today on the F900+iPhone 5 and even thou there are Apps that can access the iPod, like EC Touch etc., it still feels like a workaround. With the cashback Pioneer is offering, I'm wondering if there's a AppRadio 3 coming soon, or what's going on. Would be really interesting to know how far away the App Radi
  16. How is the mirroring image quality? I'm guessing the iPhone can only output 720p and 1080p, using 720 to the AppRadio? Is the AppRadio down-scaling the 1280x720 to 800x480 perfectly nice? Like if you mirror a Safari webpage, does it looks real crisp and.. well "sharp down-scaled"? Are really the AppMode apps as nice as u say, Danny? Do they scale (and fill the 16:9) correctly with the 5 and mirroring? An android I would never own, I just wouldn't. Plus I would need a twin SIM-card or set up a shared network from the iPhone to get online with the droid. Also a "workaround", and its n
  17. Actually I already have the DA 100 box in my trunk, I was thinking to use the Pioneer rebate, putting it the price range usd 300 here in Sweden. However, I cant decide if I want to keep it and install it, or actually return it. Been reading a lot here the last few days and been looking at a lot of youtube DA100 videos.. A few weeks ago the idea of an "app radio" seemed really nice but now I'm getting second thoughts.... Maybe someone here did a F700/900 swap to an AppRadio and want to share thoughts and ideas? I'm using an iPhone 5 and its working so-so with the F900. Music streams, bt
  18. I hate to be the one not reading every thread, but there's a whole lot of relay-talk here... and I don't know if it will be necessary on my unit. Just ordered a DA 100 (Pioneer got a cashback deal here in Sweden now) and have one quick question: Can someone confirm that a plain ground connection is enough to bypass a European DA 100, running latest 8.30? Is it as simple with the DA 100 as it was with my current old F900 (European also)? Cheers!
  19. I don't understand why Pioneer is charging $60 for an HDMI cable that they call the IH-202. I bought a cheap HDMI cable off ebay for $2 and it works fine. The HDMI port on the back of the stereo doesn't have much room for HDMI cables that may have a larger plastic end. Let's see if I get it correct before upgrading my old F900 to an DA100 App Radio. Skipping the Pioneer cable kit, most functions will work with any hdmi+apple AV + iPhone 5 and the latest fw. However, buying the Pioneer kit, and using the 17-pin to USB included, will "disable" the mirroring mode in iOS, but on the other h
  20. Is it possible to do a parallel installation where I can choose if I want ipod connectivity with App Radio etc, and one cable only to mirror (love the Navigon app and would like to use it simply mirrored out)? That is: One lightning harnest resulting in HDMI + USB (providing external, non-Pioneer power only for charging) and One lightning to Pioneer iPhone harnest? Or do we need a brand new Pioneer cable once the new firmware is out (will an ordinary Apple Lightning to 30-pin be enough?)
  21. Im in the same boat. Pioneer original ipod cable (the one with a 30-pin -> 3 RCA's + USB), Apple original 30-pin to Lightning adapter (tried both the small adapter and the 4 inch cable adapter), everything is working exept charging. Sometimes I can get it to charge a minute or two, the the "not sopported..." pops up. Would love to get it charging in the cas as well...
  22. Yep, the AVICEdit program. I used it myself a year ago and now I need to reorganize my phonebook but cant find the program. Cannot forgive myself for not saving it somewhere secure locally. Can someone please upload it?
  23. Nopes, didn't work. Lost the main screen graphics again. Really wierd huh? I use 7zip (v4.65) to open the image.res without renaming it or anything, I just open the archive and add the two files in "Tel" dir. The phone box didn't show, just two red lines.
