  1. No, thank you for the great knobs! Every time Thomas comes around!
  2. I used the little magnetic sheet under my satellite antenna instead (installed on the rear shelf) and it dramatically improved the reception. The GPS antenna seemed to get signal no matter what (unless it was covered). Seems a lot less susceptible to signal loss.
  3. Sub volume is not at -6 or anything is it? If its set to on, gain setup to +6 and the EQ is set to something like powerful AND your RCA cables are good you have eliminated everything that it can be other than a failing AVIC or amplifier. Try using one of the other RCA cables or even connecting the sub RCA cables to the other speakers on a low volume to see if you get anything.
  4. That is because you need the phonebookXXXXXXXXX.db file located in /My Flash Drive/User/UserData/Phonedata
  5. Not sure if Pioneer is still "listening" but here are my gripes: 1. Sirius integration. The preset buttons work like physical buttons. When programming a preset it doesn't show the station that was programmed on the preset (or that its programmed at all). So when I want to go back later and add a preset, I have to figure out what preset is not programmed and then go back to the station I want to program to the preset button and save it. Something I would expect with physical buttons. (presets are not even mentioned in the operational manual) 2. Nav guidance says "continue going straigh

VR data does not upload everytime.
  7. I would like to see that the knurled black looks like if possible. Can you post a picture of one? Thanks!
  8. Nice work! I have your map layout in with the 3d buildings and speedcams. I like the setup. Thanks again! Now I just need to find a legitimate torrent of the updated maps.
  9. Thanks for the additional directions on the integration with alternate data files. Its nice to have Maverick's customizations and the speed camera's. I commute through Fremont, CA and all along the BART route they have red light camera's to catch people dashing for the train. Bastards. Nice work Boris and VBLUE.
  10. Hey Maverick- Are the speed cam scripts loaded into your DATA.ZIP file? I am thinking about doing that but I don't want to overwrite your tweaks. Can I just add the camera location data and be ready to rock? I am looking in your data.zip and see some speedcam*.bmp files. EDIT: Cancel this! I see where you posted that the speed cams are complimentary to this. I added them in pretty easily. I just have to see how to easily add in a cam when needed. I think the add POI button has been removed with your mods. Not a huge problem since this should not happen all that often.
  11. Excellent mods Maverick! These are most of the mods that I wanted to do all neatly packaged! Perfect! Great work!
  12. As usual, searching pays off again. AV1 to iPod. Thanks!
  13. Found some great news. The wire is even more easily located behind the radio for the factory speed assisted volume control. Since I have external amps I pushed one of the speaker wires from the Metra wiring harness (it was empty) and pulled it into the wire location labeled GA. Sure enough that wire coming out of the factory harness is blue/white. http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec164.shtml
  14. Yep, blue/white at driver's kick panel... Thanks! There are at least 12-13 plugs in the kick panel and not one of them has more than 9 wires. lol. Looks like I am going to have to continue the search.
  15. Can someone confirm this as correct? DKP Blue/White at pin 13?
