  1. Hi Boris, I've looked at that file and compared it with others from several DATA zips, but my prob is the signs are in green, whereas they should be in blue. What is the particular piece of code I need to alter?
  2. That was on v2.0, but I'm in the process of tweaking Stanislavovich' v3.0 mod: as soon as I have it sorted I'll get back on this thread
  3. I'm trying to alter the code in within \navigatemap_800_480.ui. I've made 3 separate compassmask.bmp's, each one indicating either 2D, 3D or North Up, and I want to use this linear compass instead of the circular compass as the means of switching between each map view. I also want it to be visible on all map screens as I have a permanent top bar with compass, altitude and date displayed. This is for Stanislavovitchs' v3.0 mod. Here's the code I was running in v2.0: Right now I'm struggling with getting this to work, so any help would be welcome.
  4. QUOTE>>>> "RDS-TMC tuner is embedded in the cradle. Therefore, this function is available only when the navigation system is attached to the cradle" <<< Operation Manual, AVIC F500BT (EU). Page 47. The 'antenna' is nothing but a single piece of thin wire, I think about a metre long, terminated in a 90 degree mini jack plug which inserts into the cradle.
  5. Have you tried resetting the unit ? Worth a try for starters........
  6. @ bmaninoc I had the same prob after installing unofficial v3.0 hack: BT Version was "Not Found". Pioneer EU don't have the BT SW-330 update on their site any more (useless!) so I did a search and found your post. It only took Step 1 for my BT to be 're-discovered' and up and running again. So thanks for the great info
  7. Did you try both steps in my last post? I can only suggest you try finding the Pioneer SW-330 update, although I had no luck googling it. Fk knows why Pioneer EU aint got it there any more, just shows how much they value us as customers........ Also try a search on the Troubleshooting forum, you may get a result. Good luck
  8. For some reason there is no longer a BT software update for the F500 on the Pioneer EU site..... WTF???????? But thanks to a bit of searching I found this recent post in the Troubleshooting forum >>>>>>> 1) I deleted the My Flash Disk/USER/UserData/Setup and My Flash Disk/USER/UserData/iGO/save folders. I don't think this step matters only the next step, but someone else fixed their problems just by doing this. 2) Then I rebooted and replaced the My Flash Disk/APL/parrot.dll and My Flash Disk/APL/parrot.ini files with the same files from the free 2.06 update fr
  9. In Phone Settings > BT Software Update > Version > NOT FOUND !!!!!!!!!!!! Gona re-install, hopefully this will fix it
  10. Yeah, I've just tried this v3.0 (not done the WinCE update tho) and I cant get BT connected/paired. Anyone have any ideas on what's gone wrong or a fix to this prob? BT is crucial for me, I use it very often @ cacab and Ok-Alex: have you installed the WinCE or just APL?
  11. Been away from here for a while, too long TBH, but I've spent a bit of time tinkering with this great mod. Most of what I've done is purely cosmetic, got rid of a lot of unnecessary (IMO) on-screen dialogue and every word starting with a capital, tidied up a shed load of bitmaps, and added my own slant on a few things. I'm running iGO 8.0, firmware 2.007000, hacked ezrider, Worldwide licence hack, Q1 2009 EU maps. Obviously, thanks go to Stanislavovich, Andr2000, and not to forget the inimitable BorisM and N-S-E-W Here's a few screenshots, see what you guys think. 1. GPS signal. Click
  12. Look for > btnNMB_Stop < in the following files: \ui_pioneer\800_480\ui\scripts_800_480.ui \ui_pioneer\common\ui\route.ui
  13. 1- Sorry, don't understand the problem 2- Voice Control cannot be installed on your 500
  14. I have the following installed on my 500 EW: Major roads of Eastern Europe 2008.01 [Tele Atlas 080229] Major roads of Western Europe 2007.10 [Tele Atlas 080119] I presume these are the 'connector' roads
  15. The hardware bypass is only applicable if you do the full wiring-loom install. You have to edit your DATA.zip on your PC and manually copy it into the Avic. You really should look into things in more detail, so go to the Hacks forum and do some searching. Good luck
  16. Well I've already been running newer Euro maps on my 500 for about 3 weeks now map\***country***8[1].Ota_2009.02.01_090429.fbl
  17. Perfectly (ab)normal pal: another one of Pioneers' strange anomalies......
  18. Slight exageration..... its only about 7 trillion.........
  19. Yeah, guess I misunderstood the prob
  20. Have you tried calibrating your screen?
  21. I had a similar prob when I was trying to install MioPocket on my 500 - Bluetooth disappeared completely from the unit. The only way I found to get it back was to do a complete install of the 2.0 update; I reckon you should try the same, it should work again. Good luck
  22. Maybe you wana swap places with Marge, too...................
  23. Hey Boris, how ya doin Sorry, I forgot to say it's the first version I'm on about, haven't tried the new one yet. But the problem is with any/every planned route, and I would say about 70% of the spoken directions/manouvres involve the recalc.......... It's got me baffled, and I've tried changing settings on the fly but no success. Right now I'm going through my settings to see if there's anything obvious(?) that I may have missed, I'll let you know. EDIT > my off-route sensitivity is set at 7, but I don't even know what the 7 is: seconds, yards?????
  24. Hey Stanislavovich, been using your mod here in UK for about a week now, gota say I'm very impressed except for one annoying problem I'm having, although I don't know if its to do with your mod or not. When in navi mode with destination set I get the voice info such as 'take next right in quarter of a mile......... 400 feet.............' etc., but once I take the turn I keep getting 'route recalculation ' voice and the route recalc on screen, even though I am driving the route as instructed/displayed. And this is happening on MOST of the turns/manoeuvres during the route, not just the odd one:
  25. Top right of page you will find the 'search' buttons. Good luck
